The nubbies are still present on the version I have and they are indeed on the "top" of the frame/cushion part of the Eclipse.
They can NOT be felt through the bikini thong diffuser material though but visually the top is rounded upwards a bit and the "bottom" is a bit concave. If someone wants to attach the frame/hose part in the dark all a person would need to do is know the rounded top from the concave bottom or maybe attach some little something on that top so it could be felt easily.

Of course if the diffuser isn't used then the nubbies are easily felt.

Thanks for checking!
I was actually thinking of the nubs that hold the quick release arms for the DreamPorts in place two to each side -- on my non-Eclipse version they're nowhere close to the black thong.
I guess when they switched to magnets they must have not created them on the Eclipse frame.
Wonder how difficult / expensive it would be for them to keep a nub on the right and left side of top of the Eclipse frame... Have never seen it, so for all I know, there may be no place for it in this newer version.

We are thinking of 2 different nubs I think. I will see if I can find my old Bleep and look and see if I can spot what you are talking about. It's been quite a while since I used it....I am sure I put it somewhere safe like I do everything and then it is so safe I can't find it again.

Yes, that's what I figured...
Not necessary to dig the old one up, Pugsy, unless you want to do it for your own sake.
With no need for QR arms (quick release) the Eclipse makers no doubt figured those nub were no longer necessary either.

Will post an image if you think it's necessary or helpful

There are 2 little extra nubbies on the Eclipse. Upon closer inspection the cushion where the nubbies are seems to be the same place as on the Bleep. Two on either side where the little arm of the plastic port goes in. They were guides Stuart said to help people not get poked by the plastic. If you keep the little plastic arm in between the nubbies then the plastic won't dig into your face.

Easily felt in the dark and on the "top" of the cushion part.
I just never noticed them before. Par for the course I guess...but then I never really looked.

I have no idea why they are there because nothing is going to be touching them that I can think of....but they are there.

At least on the version model I have in my possession. I don't know if that changed or not.

Hooray!
Maybe they're there to help us discover the top in the dark.... and maybe simply because there was no need to create a new mold for the Eclipse frame and it was cheaper to continue with the existing one.

Whichever the reason - it's good to have them.

If anyone is interested pre-orders for eclipse are being taken at

https://suresealcpap.com/

I assume this is public info as the bleep eclipse web page points to it.

It says delivery "fall 2022".

Sureseal website doesn't take insurance, strictly out-of-pocket, and US sales only

A friend tried to post this info on another apnea website, and message/thread was removed because it was considered advertising a future/unreleased product. If this is the case here, I apologize. I'm just a happy dreamports user, looking forward to the improvements and hoping a successful launch will get eclipse out to DMEs sooner.

It is okay to post the link here.
I was just getting ready to post it myself. Had been waiting because there was a little problem with the promo code getting applied but that is now fixed.

https://suresealcpap.com/

PayPal for payment.

Eventually suppliers who do file insurance will get on the bandwagon but for right now since this is a pre-order situation and insurance doesn't do pre orders anyway...those wanting to file insurance are going to have to wait until official public release and supplying to the DMEs.

Those who like the old Bleep....I wouldn't be surprised to see that product go on sale. No proof mind you...just something I would expect to see in the future. So if you don't want to change right now....you might find the price gets a little more attractive later.

Maybe I'll check with my DME if they are considering adding it in
once the access and economics line up.
Any product that can prevent fewer dropouts means more new customers.
Look at what nasal pillows have done.
I am fairly certain that nasal pillows have made the difference
for a huge number of patients

I was considering pre-ordering, and noticed that you have to pre-order 3 months at least (when I looked). Since I don't know whether this will work for me, I'll have to wait until I can do regular orders. Doesn't really matter I guess, other than not getting into line as early as I'd like *smile*. I really want it to work, but won't know until I try it out. Not sure how it'll go for my asymmetric nostrils *smile*.

It would be okay with me to pre-order the 3-months supply, assuming that I could return unopened boxes. I did ask Stuart (or somebody with his email address *smile*) about returning unopened boxes and didn't get a reply, so assume that's not happening. Wouldn't expect to be able to return used supplies, especially when done as a pre-order.

Folks...those of you who are totally new to the Bleep system who are scared about pre-ordering 3 months worth of stuff because you don't know if you will love or hate the Eclipse system....I bet if you hate it that there are going to be enough lovers who will be happy to buy your unwanted supplies from you.

The frame/hose thingy can be washed easily and an opened box of halos doesn't hurt a thing either.

Either you could sell it to established users or maybe to someone else who might want to try it.

It's going to be a bit more of a wait for those wanting to wait until a one month supply is offered on Amazon like the Bleep is now.

If the Eclipse interests you...that's a good enough reason to try it and if by chance you just hate it....there's going to be a lot of people who would gladly buy the unwanted supplies so you won't lose the entire purchase price.
It's easily figured out on a prorated basis.

Thanks for pointing this out, I find it reassuring *smile*. I have pre-ordered and have my fingers crossed.

For me, the Eclipse is a really nice improvement,

Aside from the effortless connection of the mask to the adhesive bits, I found that I was having better luck sticking them in the right place the first try with the new Eclipse pads.
