So i just got the P10 nasal pillows. How do I know which size fits me? They all fit comfortably and tested them all on my “mask fit” option

Just try each one when your machine's on... we can't do that for you!

Start with the largest pillows first. They should seal on the nares and not go inside the nostril.

I agree that’s the way to start, if the Large is comfortable and seals well.

Okay so last night I tried my p10 nasal pillows for first time. I tried the large size and they seemed to fit well. The medium size went a little inside my nostrils which I didn’t like so I stuck with the large. I slept for 6 hours, 0.4 AHI, very good seal. Only thing is I woke up 2 times because I felt discomfort in between my 2 nostrils and also felt like a burning sensation after a while as the pressure was shooting up my nostrils. I adjusted the pressure to minimum 6, maximum 20. Let me know if it takes time to adjust to this mask with comfort.

Also, is it normal to not feel the pressure as much as you would with a full face mask? Felt like nothing was going on because how quiet it was. But every time I would lift it off my face I was assured there was significant pressure

The discomfort is typical of new pillow users. You can use Lanisoh (available at pharmacies and supermarkets) to help with the soreness, but also make sure you are not tightening the headgear too much. We tend to think it has to be tight to avoid leaks, but it does not take much tension to hold the pillows in place. Work with it and you’ll find what is right for you.

The “burning” sensation is typical as well. There is a difference in how things feel with pillows vs a FFM as the FFM has a larger area so you feel the pressure differently than pillows. You will get used to it over time.

You are doing really well for a n00bie! Post some OSCAR charts when you can so those who understand them can help with the settings.

Thank you! I just got an SD card and downloaded OSCAR so I will upload some charts. Good to know all these feelings I am having our normal with the nasal pillows. I have been wearing full face mask for past 6 months and last night was first night with the P10 nasal pillows and I am surprised that I didn’t not open my mouth once! I also love that I can sleep on my side and not worrying about drool breaking the seal on my FFM. I do feel I will still have to get comfortable with the nasal pillows but I am sure it will be worth it!

Here is my stats from last night. So this is with the nasal pillows. I was never able to get that low of a AHI with a full face mask. It seems like it’s too good to be true that my AHI is that low with nasal pillow especially for second night of wearing them.

My $0.02 is you are doing really well. If it was me I would turn off ramp, but leave the rest to see how it all goes. Ramp can sometimes wake you up as pressure increases once it turns off.

You are entering the phase of zeroing in your therapy for comfort as you have most things under control. If you could do a 3-4 min zoom on the two spots where you turned off the machine so those who understand the charts can comment. My guess would be it is a REM state transition, but let’s leave it to the smart kids to figure out.

Yes, BEWARE of advice given by PM instead of in open forum.

Did it ever occur to you that a PM might not be offering advice or presenting any ideas?
