Strictly speaking, he is: he has honorary doctorates from University of Sussex and Yale. But no, he is not a doctor of medicine.

A brilliant poet and musician; but not a physician.
Honorary degrees cheapen the real, earned degrees.
It saddens me that the institutions cannot award honors more appropriately.
Knighthood is different--it no longer refers to warriors.
