Yeah, me too...I totally missed that.

We must not have that super clairvoyancy, like some have...

I never, ever wash my hose. They are hard to dry out, and IMHO, that puts you at more risk of contamination than just leaving it alone.

I wash the mask . . . whenever. I'm not dead yet.

Not being clairvoyant; but we know there are others just waiting
to jump in and share their OCD.
No, thank you.

Heck yes!
You may discover, as I did, that daily washing is not only unnecessary,
but A PAIN IN THE BUTT!
Whatever level of cleaning that makes you feel comfortable is just fine.
It is YOUR equipment, after all.
You are the only one that knows, or cares.
Thanks, it is a pain cleaning it daily. I need to have a chat with my doppelgänger regarding the OCD’s. 😉

Don't take it personal. They act like this all the time.

Yep, they do act like this all the time, especially whenever new users ask questions (and god-forbid it's a cleaning question).

Makes ya wonder if there is some secret society CPAPTalk.com cabal in the back rooms around here!
Lmao🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I would like to convince you that someone was trying to convince anyone of something.

I just spritz my mask in the morning with Clean Smart (hypochlorus acid) that I learned about on this forum. Every few weeks I wash the whole thing out. Much easier!

One of my first purchases was a Sleep8 Ozone Cleaner. A lot of people say not to use them, but I'm not sure. I do not put the machine itself into the bag, I just put my mask and hose. Can anyone explain why not to use them?

1) they don't clean *anything*. smear a little peanut butter in there and see if it's gone when you're done.
2) the ozone will degrade plastics, like your mask and hose.

Because:
  • They are not necessary
  • Ozone reacts negatively with many matetials
  • It vents harmful ozone into your environment
