Unfortunately for BleepSleep, and fortunately for the rest of us, once you stick something on the internet it's easy to find. https://www.sbir.gov/node/2189709.

Interesting premise! This would be to address the problem some people have with clipping in the nostril 'thingy' (technical term).
That's okay. There going to be a short little teaser video available on the bleep website real soon...then the cat will be out of the bag for sure.

I can't really say anything until I am told I can but like PR said....I quite like it as well.

From the latest email, it sounds like the primary improvement they are touting is improved ease-of-use, which they achieve by replacing the mechanical clasp connection with a magnetic one.

If it works well, that sounds like a good idea.

Sounds amazing! I won’t break the clasps anymore pulling it apart in my sleep.

OK, Pugsy, PR, here's the question (if you can answer an abstract question like this): If this were available today, how much more per box of adhesive adapters would you be willing to pay for it? I'm assuming (maybe incorrectly) that you are paying out of pocket....

I haven't heard anything about it, but I'm *guessing* that if anything, the cost will stay the same, maybe even go down a little. based on my perceived complexity/cost of the materials involved as well shipping/package costs of the adhesive patches.

Remember though, that's a complete wild guess.

Tough question. Hadn't really thought about it.
I have decided to light a fire under my DME's ass and see if I can get them to get them for me and let me use my insurance.
While that has nothing to do with your question it is my deciding that my insurance needs to pay. The lied to me when the Bleep first came out and said insurance wouldn't pay and I knew it was a lie....so I haven't been back to them for anything.

But if I were to have to pay out of pocket for the adhesive part of the mask....assuming I bought it bulk to get a lower price to start with...a third more without hesitation. Since my right hand surgery last year things are not quite yet back to normal and the current port attachment is a bit of a challenge. While I can get it done...it's extra work for me and everyone knows how I feel about extra work. I would gladly pay more for less work. :D

I have no idea what the pricing will be to compare it to the original Bleep but my own personal thoughts....I would think that the frame/tube part might cost a little more but since they last forever I wouldn't worry about that part so much.

I am with PR...I don't think that there is going to be much of an increase in price of the adhesive part...if any. Another WAG.
But that's just me musing about things. That is something I haven't talked to Stuart about but I will next time I talk to him.

You can't believe how happy I am to hear it will probably be out this month. My "bleeping" bleep has bit the dust and I have been using my P10 and my N20 for over two weeks. My Bleep has a leak and for the life of me I can't find out where, after all its about a year and a half old. I put it on every night, hop into bed and plug it in hoping it will work....no such luck...... damn!! I have tried every trick in the book to fix it but to no avail. I didn't want to go and buy a new one if I was going to have to turn around in the next month and get the newest one. As luck will have it, it will be out next week.... hopefully I will be on the list for the first purchase. FINGER AND TOES CROSSED!!!!!!!.

CHEERS :) :) :)
Nan

I will answer the abstract question, with a bit of info upfront first. I pay out of pocket for the Bleep, even though my insurance covers it because my insurance s**ks (sorry, but it's true!), and it actually costs me LESS to buy from an online DME (where I can order 3 months at a time if I choose) than to be forced to get one month at a time for about $3-12/month more + shipping each month! And I would spend more for the Eclipse, for the ease of use and lower profile. I have painful arthritis in my left hand which has affected my fine motor skills, much to my dismay, including attaching the Bleep, which is the ONLY mask that has actually ever really worked for me. I would easily pay the full price and more if I had to!

Mostly true. You matter until you multiply yourself by the speed of light squared, then you energy.

Back on topic, I look forward to the eclipse. I like the Bleep, but dislike fussing with connecting the nostril thingies.
