new machine

Post by csmlet » Wed Jan 19, 2022 3:21 pm

I had a new sleep study and just got a new resmed airsense 10 auto. This will replace a new airsense 10 auto that I purchased in Sep. 2021. Planning on using it for my backup. Since this is the same machine but with a different SN do I need to change anything on Oscar? My pressure setting on my old airsense was 8-16 but my sleep doctor set my new one on 12. Haven't talked to him yet why he went from auto 8-16 to constant 12. Will try it for a few nights to see how it works out. Thank you.

Nope, just load the data from a new SD card, Oscar will integrate the data properly.

Nice to have two Airsense 10 Autosets! Your new settings are a bit of a puzzle. Feel free to post an Oscar chart with the constant pressure so we can take a collective look.

Anyone want to bet against me???
I am betting the 95% pressure number on the reports when using the auto adjusting range just happens to be in the neighborhood of 12.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I found out this morning that good ole Oscar picked up my new machine. Not sure why but my AHI was lower last night than it has been ever. Please someone post the setup for taking a screenshot, I lost my instructions and need the settings. Thank you

Do you think that you maybe slept any better at the new settings compared to the old settings?

There is a reduction in overall AHI a bit but the reduction is mainly in the CA/central apneas and more pressure wouldn't have fixed those centrals anyway.
So I don't think that the increase in pressure and change to fixed pressure would have had anything to do with the reduction in centrals.
Makes me wonder if your centrals were real centrals or more related to false positive flagging from arousal/awake breathing from poor sleep.
