HealthSqyre

Does anyone have any experience with HealthSqyre? Supposedly their an in-network provider for Cigna. Looks like maybe they're using Lincare to sell the CPAP (maybe HealthSqyre is a broker).

I'm new to Cigna and unsure what requirements they have for CPAP. I think they require renting the machine like most other insurers, but not sure of the duration of rental before you own the machine.

I just did the Google thing, and it looks like an extra middleman.
Not enough information to tell if they are legit.
Could even be a phishing boat . . .
I just dunno.

I bought my Stateside Rx from them so I could have CPAP stuff freight forwarded. Online vendors do accept the Rx.

Afterwards they pitched me CPAP equipment and supplies.
Didn't seem very price competitive.

Maybe someone will tell us if Medicare accepts this kind of Rx.
They are kind of picky.

Be sure you request the "Evidence of Coverage" (EOC) for your Cigna plan. This is the actual contract between you and Cigna, even if you never saw it or agreed to it. Everything will be spelled out there (look at the section for Durable Medical Equipment coverage). Sometimes the EOC is available online, but if not, you should request it in writing and most states mandate a period of time they have to provide it to you.

It's really important for you to understand the coverage so nobody can play games with you. It will spell out if you must use an in network provider, if there's a lower coverage for out of network (or no coverage), how much is covered, whether a CPAP is a rental or purchase (Medicare requires rental), whether it's a capped rental or perpetual (Medicare Advantage plans can have perpetual rentals), etc.

The cash price is $1200. In-network price is $200, but it's a rental and there is a required 10 month rental period. $2000 vs $1200. If I had met my deductible ($8550), it would be a no brainer because I'm responsible for only 10%. I emailed them and they told me if I buy cash, that it will apply to my out-of-network deductible instead of in-network.
