If I had a load of attachments, I'd dive right in and fix them.
Unfortunately, I have not been very productive in that department.
Bad froggie?
If my understanding of this comment is correct,

Even if I can go in and manually delete attached images from the posts all that does is remove them from the post itself and doesn't remove the actual file that is stored on the cpap.com forum software storage place.
... your efforts would be to no avail.

iirc, what can help is to reuse the images that are ALREADY stored on the forum.

say if i wanted to use my cowboy hat tip again and it was stored here, i could repoint to it instead of uploading again.

here, let me get dog slobber in here cuz he's the one what explained it to me and i could jolly well be wrong-

That doesn't help the current issue. Going forward, I won't upload any images to the cpaptalk server. It's just one extra step to use imgur.

CG is correct in that it won't help the current forum problem, but it will allow people to use existing uploaded images.
  • Go to you profile / Manage Attachments
  • Find the image you want to use / click on it to display it
  • Right-Click on image and Select Copy Image Address, it will be named something like: https://www.cpaptalk.com/download/file.php?id=15908
  • Paste that URL into your post, and then surround with image tags ([img][/img])
CG would have trouble using this method, because she names all her uploaded images ~.jpg

My image names are behind a paywall. Anyone who has a cpaptalk Gold account can view the names. Through 12/31, an annual Gold account subscription is only $19.95.

It will help short term and every little bit helps. People have been posting attachments since I cleaned mine out and I suspect some others have cleaned theirs out as well.
