It only takes 1/2 tablespoon per basin of water
How do you sterilize the basin before putting your hose bath solution in it?

How about the tap the water came from to clean the basin?

What are you talking about?! I drink tap water.
These questions are bordering on the ridiculous. I choose to clean my equipment. You don't. That's fine. To each their own.
The original poster asked a question. I answered it with information I have about what works well for me. We all choose our own way.

I don't sterilize anything. I have a collapsible dish pan, that I use only for washing my mask, headgear, humidifier chamber, and hose. When I am finished, I dry it, collapse it, and put it away under the bathroom sink. Simple.

Hi Friends,
Please suggest a brand name for the soap that is used to clean cpap tubings
Thanks
Jayshree
What are you trying to clean? Nothing but your filtered room air is going through it.
The filtered room air still contains bacteria and other germs. The heated and humidified tubing can certainly be an incubator.

that bacteria is still being breathed without the machine.

I like the peppermint scent of Dr Bronners. Just a capful in the water. Not that I clean my hose much, but when I do dr b's makes it smell really nice.

Yes. What’s your point? The cleaning isn’t for dirt as much as it’s to reduce the load of bacteria, mold, and mildew that grows in the tubing over time.

i'm thinking that for me, the laziest man on earth, it's not worth cleaning out something that you are breathing anyway. i don't make any effort to clean the air that i breath and don't see the sense of doing it just because it's gone through a tube.
mind you, i'm not arguing with you. people are going to do the level of cleaning they are comfortable with.
i'm not only lazy, i'm cheap. not worth the effort or cost for me.
and i have yet to see either mold or mildew in my five year old tube.

The purpose of cleaning is not to eliminate bacteria, mold, and mildew. Just to reduce the amounts that we breathe for 8 hours a night. The tubing is an ideal environment for growth and that’s why most manufacturers recommend regular cleaning. Also, just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Good grief. You scared me. Fortunately, I am working from home today and could get out my CPAP tubing which has never been cleaned. I shined a flashlight down each end, and it looks clean as a whistle.

Folks....please don't let this thread/topic become another pissing contest between the "cleaners" and "non cleaners" of anything. It seriously derails the thread and doesn't really help anyone.
Cleaning of ANYTHING for ANY REASON is a personal choice.
Here is the original question from the OP
Hi Friends,
Please suggest a brand name for the soap that is used to clean cpap tubings

Jayshree
It WASN'T "should I clean my hose" or "why do you clean your hose" or a request to instigate a debate on whether to clean/wash/whatever the hose.
Please just answer the question as presented in the original post and let further comments about why or why not be absent since they are Off Topic.
This thread is fast becoming nothing but a side railed pissing contest and very borderline to getting locked because of such derailing.
Stay on topic please and don't go trying to change the topic.

OP, here’s a link to cleaning information from ResMed.
https://www.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-apne ... equipment/
I’m sure you can find similar information at other manufacturers’ websites.
To answer your original question, I use store-brand baby shampoo to clean my mask, tubing, and water chamber.

As I understand your inquiry ("suggest a brand name"), you have developed a soap to clean CPAP tubes and are trying to come up with a good name for it.
How about Goob's Tubes Rather Lather?
