If you can import from a copy on the hard drive but cannot import from the infoUSB stick directly, this will probably turn out to be a Mac issue of some kind. I can import directly from the USB stick on Windows. I will direct someone familiar with the Mac to your problem.

You're absolutely right - the USB stick has the name FPHCare. I renamed it when I copied the files to my drive - but initially I was trying to upload from the USB stick, which was named correctly - and wouldn't you know, as soon as I renamed the folder FPHCARE, I was able to do an import!!

So tomorrow, do I copy everything to the hard drive again? Is there a process which will ignore already-copied data?

Thanks a million!

Were you able to get this working alright?

If you are comfortable using Terminal you can use "rsync" to copy the data. It preserves the original file attributes. After using it for the first time it will only copy new files or files that have changed. And it should not leave behind those hidden Mac files like Finder does.

The command would look something like this:

Code: Select all

rsync -avz /Volumes/<your-usb-drive-name>/ ~/Documents/<name-of-folder>

When you tried to import from the USB stick, did you specify the root directory of the stick, or did you try to navigate to another directory in the stick? You should import from the root directory.

Well, there you have it. Importing from the root directory did the trick. And while I could eventually work out using Terminal and rsync, it now appears that I don't have to! You folk are incredible!

Thank you so much!

How do you change the type of Ventilator Model in Oscar? Double click, edit profile, etc didn't work.

OSCAR determines the ventilator model when you import data from the machine, so the ventilator model shown is adjusted automatically. On the Profile page, if you are using multiple devices, the latest device you imported from should be shown for your profile. If you have imported data from the SD card and the model is not correctly identified, let me know what model you are using and what OSCAR shows.

Thanks. I deleted and reinstalled Oscar and then put the SD card in to start from scratch so the SD card must still have model 10 on it. I will try a new SD card.

I'm guessing you have upgraded from an AirSense 10 to an AirSense 11?

If you used a SD card from an AirSense 10 in an AirSense 11, that would happen. You can resolve the problem by looking at the root directory of the SD card. If it has files named identificaiton.tgt and identification.json, just rename the identification.tgt file to identification.bak (or anything else) and OSCAR will recognize the card as coming from an AirSense 11. Using a new, or reformatted, card for a new machine is recommended and sometimes essential.

Great. Thanks.

Got a new Mac - Monterey 12.0.1

I keep my Oscar files in the Dropbox folder. I installed OSCAR from the link in the first post and pointed it to the data folder. It said it was upgrading the database.

Now I have some days with summary data, some days with no data. This database had a complete history back to 2017.

Resmed VAUTO.

Ahhh....I had that happen with my S9 VAuto but haven't had it happen with my AirCurve 10 VAuto.....but then to be honest I really didn't look at the old stuff since I really don't care about it so much.

I am zero help. Sorry.

I just checked...I have details back to 2019 but it's really weird...it says I used cpap mode for 360 days from July 24, 2019 to July 23, 2020....and I have never ever used cpap mode on this machine.

I haven't bothered trying to bring over the old S9 data to this new computer and new OSCAR. It's still on the old laptop if I ever need or want it. I had a lot of S9 detailed reports go AWOL and never could figure it out and I knew to download at least once a week. What happened to me was that all the old details went poof one day...on days I know I used to have detailed graphs because some of them I have in imgur.

Thanks. I kind of like having my stats all the way back to the beginning - same machine, same SD card. If I have to go back to my sleep doc for any reason I'd like to show him 100% effective treatment for the time period after I ditched him. ;-)

I just made a new profile and re-imported form the card. That worked, but everything from before September of 2019 is gone. Hopefully I can get that back.

I upgraded to 1.3. now how do I load the data from 1.2
I can create a new profile and load from the SD card ... but can't load old data :(

I see an export data, but not an import

After reading through the thread "upgraded and lost all my data .. it seems that I am "SOL"
