I've been in software development since the 80's. This is as professional a project and as quality a piece of software as any I've seen executed. The sheer amount of data formats the team has dealt and internalized with is astounding.

Nice work!

Resmed AirSense for her. Been using Oscar just fine for 1 monthuntil this morning. Now I get screen with profile tab. none f the buttons "work" except one that says "destroy profile" which I am hesitant to touch since I see my "old" OS CAR data(I think) . The page looks frozen. I uninstalled OSCAR and reinstalled but o chage. Deactivated firewall and antivirus as Microsoft Defender tried to bloc access. No difference.

Tried reading my SleepStyle (F&P) (not the 600 or 200 series) data imported successfully, but no data shown.
Additionally, the last date is the year 2036?????.
Yet, when I look at the files on my Win 10 PC, the "modified" dates are current.
Would you look at the serial number of your SleepStyle machine and see if it is all digits or if it contains any letters?

It looks like OSCAR has incorrectly identified your machine as an Icon rather than as a SleepStyle. That would also explain the 2036 year, as F&P changed the way dates were encoded in the SleepStyle vs the Icon.

When I correct that problem, OSCAR shows that you used the SleepStyle from Feb 16, 2019 through Oct 16, 2021. Does that start date seem correct?

It also looks like your USB stick also has data on it for an Icon Auto machine, in addition to the SleepStyle machine. Is that correct? (I am uncertain whether that is a problem or not.)

I should have a fix for the misidentification problem in a few days.

Meanwhile, if you want to see your data today, copy your entire InfoUSB stick to your hard drive. Find the folder for the SleepStyle (FPHCARE/Icon/80327949) and change the directory name by adding a letter to the serial number (like X80327949). Do NOT make that change on the InfoUSB stick as that will confuse your machine. Start OSCAR and import from the directory that you copied the USB stick to. That directory must be the one that has FPHCARE in it.

In your OSCAR_Data directory, there is a directory named "logs." In that directory are a number of files with names beginning with "debug" and ending with ".txt". Please make a zip file of all the debug files and upload the zip file to my Dropbox folder. Please include your forum name in the zip file name so we know who the file is from. I will look at the messages in those files to see if there is a clue about what is happening.

Thank you for sending the debug files.

The problem is that OSCAR is using the software graphics engine instead of the OpenGL graphics engine. After a crash, OSCAR sometimes reverts to the software engine, thinking it is solving a problem with the OpenGL engine, but sometimes makes things worse in the process.

We have a patch file to fix this problem. Right click on https://sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/Patch/SetO ... isplay.zip and choose Save Link As.... Unzip the file and you will see a .bat file. Open a command prompt as an Administrator, run the batch file, and select the OpenGL engine. OSCAR should now work.

I verified the S/N. All digits.

Prior to 2019, the usb stick was used on an "ICON". It is now on a SleepStyle.

Technically, the dates you determined are correct. The machine is a loaner. Prior to September 13, 2021, it was being used by another client.
It also looks like your USB stick also has data on it for an Icon Auto machine, in addition to the SleepStyle machine. Is that correct? (I am uncertain whether that is a problem or not.)
You are correct. The USB was used on two different loaner machines.

Try the work-around I described in my earlier post. It will allow you to import Sleepstyle data. Here are the steps in more detail:
  • Copy entire InfoUSB stick to a directory on your hard drive. For example, c:\users\username\documents\InfoUSB
  • With file manager, navigate to the Icon directory of the copied card to on your hard drive. E.g., ..Documents\InfoUSB\FPHCARE\Icon
  • You will see a directory named with a number, e.g., 82501234 . In your case, you have two directories with numbers; you need to rename the one beginning with 8
  • Rename that directory by placing a letter at the beginning, e.g., X82501234
  • Run OSCAR and import the InfoUSB directory on your hard drive.
  • Do not change the directory name on the USB stick! That will confuse your CPAP machine!
  • To include data in the future, copy the contents of the numbered directory, e.g., 82501234, from your USB stick to the X82501234 directory on your hard drive and import again from there.

When version 1.3 sees a file from a Dreamstation 2, it presents a message that Dreamstation 2 is not supported and then stops reading. If you try Dreamstation 2 and then go back to a foamectomied Dreamstation 1, you cannot evaluate your most recent data. This was not true with 1.2. When it saw data it couldn’t read, it just skip the day. I suggest presenting the info message once and then resuming reading data rather than exiting the function.

Do you have both DS1 and DS2 on the same SD card?

Could you make a zip file of your entire SD card and upload it to my Dropbox folder. Please include your forum name in the zip file name so we know who the file is from.

We will test with your data to make sure OSCAR is work correctly.

Thanks!

If anyone else has this problem, contact me via PM, let me know what platform you are running on (Windows, Mac, etc.), and I will send you a link to a development version of OSCAR that fixes this problem.

From the developer:
The short-term workaround for him is to rename "P-SERIES/74FAE300/PROP.BIN" to "PROP.BAK" and not use this card in in his DS2. I'll look into having OSCAR handle this scenario more gracefully.
In short, use a different SD card for each machine.

Anyone know if Oscar is compatible with macOS Monterey? Was thinking of upgrading when it is released tomorrow.

New to CPAP an just started to use my new AirSense 11 machine...
I really like the design of this box... Very quiet and does what it is supposed to do...
Running Oscar on a Dell Inspiron 7786 laptop.
Issues I've noticed with 1.3:
1. Upon expanding the timeline for a night; Right clicking does not return to the entire night timeline again. It truncates it to just a couple of hours.
Rebuilding the database allows the entire timeline to be made visible again.
2. Upon closing out Oscar, the computer has crashed and restarted.
3. I had to use the time offset to show the correct time on the timeline.
The computer is set to the proper time zone (Pacific)
Is this normal?

My background is I'm a Electromechanical Medical Device Consultant.
