I did want to chime in on this and yes I realize this is an old thread. December 15th my wife informed me we had a bunch of HSA funds to spend and my s10 Autoset is about 7 years old so I started looking. First I called the Pharmacy / where I normally go to get my masks and other supplies. Thye told me the s11 was not available yet maybe mid 22, they did not even know the price other than saying it will be more than the s10. One other thing I did notice is the s10 uses a CDMA cellular internet connection to report its daily results and that network will be turned off this year Sprint at the end of march and Verizon December 31 2022. I don't know who Resmed uses as a service provider. to you folks that use the my air app at some point before 12-31-2022 that functionality will stop working.

I did a search on the internet and ended up buying one from the the perfect CPAP website and it was shipped the same business day as I paid and received the next business day with no charge for shipping. I chose this site because they accept Paypal, if I have ever had an issue with a website Paypal has taken care of me. I have the CPAP and all is well other than I do wish I had a heated climateline.

My only worry is the concerns that others have brought up about selling these machines with a prescription is a legal requirement, to me, the law will catch up and shut this site down at some point or force them to comply. For folks like me that notes that the machine I bought will not have a warranty, but the HSA funds were use or loose.

One other note is the phone number listed on the perfect CPAP website is area code 952 that twin cities, MN metro number
If they go after the site, it has no bearing on you. They're not going to go after you for buying a CPAP without a prescription. The product is warranted with or without a prescription. If something happens, I doubt they're going to ask you for your prescription. If they do, you can probably get one online (I've seen some CPAP places offer them).

The only issue, which likely will not come up, is if the IRS audits you for using HSA funds to buy it without a prescription.

HSA funds are not "use or lose". HSA balances carry forward until used.

Maybe you meant FSA? Those typically expire at year end.

Just don't want someone reading this to think their HSA is lost at year end, because it isn't.
