Resmed Airsense 11 - Where to buy ??

Post by chriscummings83 » Sat Oct 16, 2021 11:26 pm

I’m in need of a new Apap and wanted the Airsense 11. I normally buy it online but I don’t see it anywhere.

Thank you.

A simple search and I found this: https://www.theperfectcpap.com/products ... ne-package

I know nothing about the place just posted to show how easy it was to find.

I'm sure there are other places as well.

That's a steep markup.

Yeah. Looking for the normal site. Cpap.com DHM. At a reasonable price.

https://sistemmacpap.com/cpap-machines/ ... 11-autoset

I don't know but 1300 looks better than 1599

Everyone needs to remember that cpap.com will be forced to price the new machine at whatever ResMed says the MSRP is.
ResMed price fixes...simple as that.

If you all think that you will see the old 883 price....my crystal ball says you are likely in for substantial sticker shock.
Do you think for one minute that ResMed doesn't realize it has most everyone by the short hairs....think again.

What's the main factor in the retail costs of stuff????? Supply and DEMAND folks.

I’ve called both places. Prices are $1599 but out of stock. Anyone know of a place to get them ?

Thank you. I’ve searched google.

I advise extreme caution if you find an online supplier that SAYS they have an Airsense 11 for sale right now. There are tons of people using every "shortage" to scam people.

In particular, the website linked in post #2 and quoted in post #3 above looks very suspicious.
  • The site claims "no prescription required", because their machines are "already programmed". LOL. BS, and illegal in the US (they claim to be in North Carolina.)
  • A google search for the phone number shown on the site finds several odd sites, including someone who "helps people make money from home."
  • That phone number is a Vermont number, but the business is (supposedly) located in NC.
  • Everything on the site is "on sale".
  • The street address on the website is a Mall in NC. That Mall has their store directory online, and it doesn't list that business -- nor really any business that appears to sell DME.
  • The domain registration is anonymized through GoDaddy.
  • The "about" page has some really crazy nonsense.
Like this gem: "I loved my Resmed Airsense 10 with Autoset CPAP machine! It is part of a newer generation of CPAP machines called Auto CPAP machines or ‘APAPS’. It comes with the latest ‘Autoset’ technology – where the machine automatically adjusts it’s rhythm to match your breathing rhythm to maximize your oxygen intake."
And another one: "The difference between a CPAP machine and a BIPAP machine is the CPAP machine only blows air in; whereas, a BIPAP machine blows air in AND pulls the air out.
I have no proof that site is a scam, but it sure does smell like one. Be careful out there.

There's a brand new one on Craigslist in the Dallas area for $700. Says he bought it by accident.

Hmm what could go wrong with a Craigslist transaction at an unrealistic low price?

Tons, but you can also strike gold. I've scored two backup Vautos for less than $300 each.

No, I don't. If it seems to good to be true, it usually is. Congrats to those who beat the odds. :-)

I did want to chime in on this and yes I realize this is an old thread. December 15th my wife informed me we had a bunch of HSA funds to spend and my s10 Autoset is about 7 years old so I started looking. First I called the Pharmacy / where I normally go to get my masks and other supplies. Thye told me the s11 was not available yet maybe mid 22, they did not even know the price other than saying it will be more than the s10. One other thing I did notice is the s10 uses a CDMA cellular internet connection to report its daily results and that network will be turned off this year Sprint at the end of march and Verizon December 31 2022. I don't know who Resmed uses as a service provider. to you folks that use the my air app at some point before 12-31-2022 that functionality will stop working.

I did a search on the internet and ended up buying one from the the perfect CPAP website and it was shipped the same business day as I paid and received the next business day with no charge for shipping. I chose this site because they accept Paypal, if I have ever had an issue with a website Paypal has taken care of me. I have the CPAP and all is well other than I do wish I had a heated climateline.

My only worry is the concerns that others have brought up about selling these machines with a prescription is a legal requirement, to me, the law will catch up and shut this site down at some point or force them to comply. For folks like me that notes that the machine I bought will not have a warranty, but the HSA funds were use or loose.

One other note is the phone number listed on the perfect CPAP website is area code 952 that twin cities, MN metro number

Can anyone else confirm the bolded statement above?

I'm just about ready to give up on Crapria delivering the Airsense 11 they promised and order an Airsense 10 on my own, but this certainly gives me pause.

The older 10 models were CDMA, but the newer ones are 4G. The change happened some time around 2015.

You can look at the label on the back above where it says"Non Ionizing Radiation" to see which one you have. It'll say "CDMA" or "4G" at the end of the line starting with IC.

The Air 10 devices do *not* use a CDMA cell. The original Air10s from 2014 did use CDMA 2G, but since, have changed to CDMA 3G, and now a 4G modem.

Having said that, since the Respironics recall and resultant ResMed supply shortfall, as well as the electronics supply chain shortfall, I have *heard* some old 3G devices/modems have been released into the wild as new.

YouTuber CPAP Reviews comments on this:

But new Air 10 devices *should* be shipped with a 4G modem
