How long should hose remain heated?
Just got a heated hose from my DME and have to say after 7+ months of the non-heated variety I’m enjoying it. One thing I noticed is that it does not seem to maintain a constant temp all night as I can feel the air on the rare occasion I wake up not being the same temp as when I was falling asleep. I’m assuming that is how it works, but wanted to check with those who have been using one for a while.

Probably one of 2 things or maybe a combination of both.
1...these heaters cycle a bit....on/off for a short period of time not unlike the furnace or A/C of your house
2...our brains adjust to a new normal as the night goes on kike when the pressure we start the night with feels like a hurricane and it's a gentle breeze in the mornings....the warmer air seems markedly warmer at the beginning of the night but after a few hours it's the new normal and we just don't notice it as much.

Curious about what you like better. Is it the lack of rain out? The temperature? Both? Also, what hose did you choose? Thanks!CyberSpiff wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 10:48 amJust got a heated hose from my DME and have to say after 7+ months of the non-heated variety I’m enjoying it. I have a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset so they sent me the ClimateLine heated hose. Just plugged it in and set everything to auto. I’ve only used it a few nights but the warm moist air is very soothing (once it gets up to temp). I have not previously had issues with rainout with the non-heated hose and no issues with this one so far.

How is the smell? I have seen many complaints about the smell of the heated hose.CyberSpiff wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 3:02 pmI have a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset so they sent me the ClimateLine heated hose. Re: How long should hose remain heated?
I have not noticed any smell so far. Based on what I’ve read in this forum I did wash it in cold water and dish soap, rinsed it well, and let it dry overnight before using.

Re: How long should hose remain heated?
Thank you for the suggestions. I didn’t consider the cycling of heat nor how I likely adjust to it. It does not seem to wake me up either way, so not concerned, just curious.Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 11:33 amProbably one of 2 things or maybe a combination of both.
