Re: cleaning the 11, I didn't realize until I watched a video that the air vent that the hose attaches to is removable and should be washed weekly. Just remove the tank and there's a little clip to release it and pull it out. Did have to do that with the 10.

I wash the mask and humidifier chamber once a week in warm soapy water. I do this mainly out of habit, and it's nice to get the "gunk" off the mask cushion since I'm a mouth breather. Really doesn't take more than 2-3 minutes.

I use distilled water in the humidifier chamber since I get my groceries delivered and I have it at the house anyway for my room humidifier. When traveling I just use bottled water out of habit.

The only time I wash the hose is after getting sick. I generally will replace the heated hose when my DME sends me a new one, because why not.

The machine filter I replace about once a month, my cat sheds a lot and they are dirt cheap so I figure why not.

Generally my motivation is efficiency and it also just makes me feel better to have the illusion of being somewhat hygienic.

I just got my new AirSense 11. For those of you here with the S9, have you noticed how quite it is compared to the AirSense 10 and 11? I love my S9. But must move on into the 21st century with these cheaper units.

No. My Air10 VAuto is a little quieter than my S9 VPAP Auto.

Yes, I dump the water every night, rinse with tap water, and let air dry. Maybe once a week I'll take a paper towel with a bit of dish liquid and scrub the tub out before rinsing and letting air dry. Maybe once every few weeks I'll do a weak vinegar soak of the tub. I don't have access to distilled (I use purified bottled drinking water - our tap is pretty nasty).

The mask nasal piece will get a wipe down with paper towel and a bit of dish soap, then rinsed and left to air dry, daily. The plastic mask frame is washed maybe once a month. Headgear is washed... maybe once a month, just by hand with hot water dish soap. I don't like removing the straps or anything unless necessary since I did that with my first headgear and it got worn out fast.

I rinse the hose and let air dry maybe once a month or so.

Filter is replaced when the machine indicates. There is an inner filter and an outer filter. The inner one needs to be disposed of. The outer one can be rinsed out, set aside, and cycled with a replacement.
