When away from a reliable AC power source I always take my old REMSTAR machine, 12VDC powered. If it gets damaged or lost its no big deal.
Can't get much simpler than the Freedom V2 battery. Unplug your Resmed AC adapter from the PAP and plug it into the battery. Plug the included cord into the battery and PAP. No re-plugging needed when the outage hits (just had one Sun night), CPAP keeps on working.
- During the outage, is a heated humidifier or heated hose needed?kkb wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:38 amI am 100% NOT comfortable connecting wiring to make a battery usable for a CPAP.
Can someone recommend a simple, yet effective solution for a backup battery that I just have to charge and then plug in if there is a power outage? Simple. Simple. Simple. That's what I want. I have the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for her.
IMO the closest thing you will get to plug n play is to buy the DC cord for your cpap - you will need that no matter what you decide to do.kkb wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:38 amYes! This is me. I am 100% NOT comfortable connecting wiring to make a battery usable for a CPAP.

Then get yourself the battery jump starter of your choosing - this make it easy because it come with the battery, the charger, and the 12V outlet already built into the carry case (already assembled) and some will have other options like a USB charger, and area light, an AC inverter outlet, and/or an air compressor already built into the case.
What could be easier?
You silly goose that IS exactly what I've been doing for years now - except with a battery I already had - a jump start battery.
