Thanks all for the responses. This is all kinda confusing for me still. My previous machine did APAP and this one seems a little more complicated. Anyway, first night on the new machine, felt better than my previous machine, my AHIs are 0.0 and I can read everything on OSCAR. I hope it's correct data.

For many people, the Resmed ASVs are almost magical, they 'just work' even at the default settings.

That's awesome. I'm having a hard time trusting it until it shows me a number that is not 0 for the AHI at least once :D. I kinda want to mess up the settings once just to be assured that it CAN detect apneas/hypopneas.

Hold your breath for 10 seconds.

I tried it but it didn't work. I just took a 2hr nap and got 0.4 AHI. Yay, it works! A weird thing is that even if I leave the mask running for a bit while completely detached from my face, the mask seal report at the end is still a smiley face. Shouldn't it be frowning a little?

Just zoom in on the flow rate graph and look at all your breaths all night.

It knows you've taken the mask off.

Mr Frowny face for mask seal won't show up unless you spend 30% or more of the sleep session with leaks in excess of 24L/min. It takes a lot of excess leak over 24 L/min to make up 30% of the night or sleep session.

For a 2 hour nap that would over 36 minutes....otherwise you will get Mr Smiley.
