Don't know why you assumed costochondritis, the soreness is generally chest muscles getting used vs being unused (relatively) prior to cpap, and does go away in time.

I was going by what Miss E suggested it could be and based on other topics I've seen. Maybe its not exactly that and/or there's a difference between muscle soreness and costochondritis (and if its possible to really tell the difference but not sure either).
