So most of you all know I had surgery on my right thumb this week.
I will be in a splint for 8 to 12 weeks. most likely 12 per my doc.
my replies will be brief and probably typo filled so bear with me....right now lots of pain as well.
Don't be surprised or take offense if I am very brief with what I type.
Rest well Pugsy, it is key to a quicker recovery. Consider using voice-to-text if you have a device that supports it. Your responses at 50% accuracy are still 100% more than mine and many.

Less pain today. That's a blessing. Occasional spurts of sharp pains but they don't last long.
Manageable.

Glad to hear its a little better. I second the voice to text. At one point i cut the tips of two fingers. It was the most painful thing i've ever experienced, i couldnt even rest my arm on anything. I found ice on my wrist helped a little. I didnt get any help from the pain meds, they gave me panic attacks.
Feel better!

try tearing off a piece of toilet paper with one hand.....it sucks
O/T Alert!!!!!
I purchased a bidet attachment during COVID when everyone was buying up all the toilet paper.
...Probably one of the better purchases I've ever made!
My own household TP usages has gone down 75%

"but I reserve my right to whine about it."
YES, you sure do! You could also wine about it if it helps.
Joking aside, my daughter had carpel tunnel surgery a few weeks ago. She was hurting for several days, then around the fifth day, it began to let up. She's now very happy she went ahead with the surgery. Also, Percocet didn't do anything for her. Would your doctor consider trying a different med?
Healing vibes sent.

I’m impressed with your ingenuity & craftsmanship. That’s an interesting setup you have there. Looks like something they sell at Harbor Freight!
