Age 40, grey hair since age 16, becamse clearly visible age 20, severe OSA since age <= 24, life has been stressful

It would seem the solution would be to ask your sleep doctor next time you see him/her.

The pressure from the CPAP pushes grey matter out of your brain into your hair follicles. The higher your IQ, the quicker your hair will turn grey. Higher CPAP pressure also makes the grey matter get into your hair follicles quicker.
BiPAP causes a salt and pepper effect.

Also keep in mind that it can be said that gray hair on a man can be "stately", and on a woman... er... not so much.

On a more serious note; if I heard my doctor spouting such nonsense,
I would be looking for a NEW DOCTOR!
