Well, Monday morning is my 2nd PET scan.
This will determine how effective my two rounds of chemo have been.
The kicker is the prep for the procedure.
I have to go 24 hours without carbs, or caffeine.
Caffeine--no problem. No carbs--on Halloween!
Yeah, I will live . . .
I hope!
Well, that's a bummer! Maybe bullfrog can hide a stash of goodies for you to have as a reward after your scan. :D

My non carb day has been . . . interesting.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon
Lunch: underripe avocado, which I nuked to soften it, then had guac and pork rinds.
Supper: fresh yellow bell pepper with cream cheese.
Snacks: more pork rinds, pecan halves (not together)
Insulin only with breakfast.
I put two homemade fat bombs in a bag to snarf tomorrow after the scan.
Fat bomb: peanut butter, whey protein, rolled oats, chia seeds, chopped pecans,
and chocolate chips. (Ghirardelli 60% cocoa, of course)

Dark, but not too dark, and cocoa butter is a must!
Substitute an inferior fat--and you are dead to me.

Finished with the scan--after 11, but I was jonesing for breakfast.
Thought we'd try Sonic--what a disappointment!
I make way better food at home.
Our croissants looked like they'd been SAT on!

Tomorrow afternoon is my pulmonary function test--3rd one so far.
Apparently the chemo I'm getting tends to cause lung damage.
It's good they want to keep a close eye on it.
(So far, so good; knock on wood, and all that)
Wednesday morning is my appointment with the oncologist.

Nothing new in the last several months.
I am breathing pretty normal for as out of shape as I've been for the last year.
More walking is planned--but indoors around intentional spreaders--heck no.

Pneumatic function test is encouraging.
The tech said I did better than the last time.
