Day 23, and 2nd chemo is tomorrow.
My elan arrived today. (That was fast!)
I will wait until tomorrow night to set it up, as I need to get up before the early birds.
Still got all my hair. Guess I'll enjoy it while I can.
My oldest son is bald--and most ladies say his skull is a rather pleasing shape.
Maybe he got it from me, and my melon will look good naked.
For sure, nobody will admire my long, graceful neck.
(NECK ? What neck? Apparently I missed out, somehow . . . )

Here I am, sitting in my chair in the chemo lab, waiting for my labs,
after which they will hook me up for 3 hours.
Wish me luck!

Since it should be over by now, I hope it went well for you.

Treasure of Khan, by Clive Cussler (with Dirk Cussler)
I think having his son on board has livened things up, if that was possible.

Pretty decent, so far--a little more tummy ache (reaches for Tums)
They said my white cells are down, so now I switch to bottled water--
Or hot, from the dispenser.
I am carefully chasing blood sugar in the 180's with Novolog--keeping it steady,
trying to push it downward. "Uncontrolled" diabetes, my chubby green @SS!

The garden peppers were beckoning to me--mostly bullhorns, big, long, and pointy.
So I topped them, cut/laid them down the side, and stuffed them like canneloni.
Beef and rice--light on the rice, but more on the side for the carb addicts.
Half salt, overall--luckily the guys know how to operate a salt shaker.
I checked my blood sugar--down to 132, then 127 ten minutes later--nice & slow.
Sweeet! Maybe I can have a little chocolate--later.
I didn't expect to feel like getting this busy the day of, but I sat a looong time.

Paws crossed for continued tolerance of the chemo.

Yeah, first time, I had a bit of spontaneous urine drip, which ended within a few hours.
This time, it is still going on over a day later, but seems to be letting up a bit.
Chemo can get ugly--and sneaky, too.

Thank goodness the drip has stopped. (I know, TMI)
I was afraid I'd have to keep my own permanent, private swamp.
I will let my chemo team know about it, in case there is something
they can give me next time to prevent it.

I won't make jokes about peeing in the pond. :) Just good to see you were feeling well enough to make a delicious sounding meal and wishing you the smoothest ride this can be.
