How do you know you're in REM sleep?
The 55 per hour AHI was from an in lab diagnostic sleep study and the tech knew exactly when I was in REM.
Easy to spot when wired up with EEG leads.

Why would I need to change my pressures? I have an auto adjusting machine to do that for me and my for real asleep AHI now is probably less than 0.5 every night with some nights 0.0.

I have been on CPAP since May 2009. The OSA is dealt with optimally. My sleep issues are from other medical issues unrelated to the airway and the cpap machine can't fix those issues.

Oh okay, it's from the sleep study, I thought you could read something from the machine readouts or something.

Could a RERA happen if you are tossing and turning at night? Adjusting your sleep position, I mean. Perhaps you need to wake briefly to change your position?

Why?
When a person is changing positions in bed, they are awake. They may not be aware of it, but they are awake.

Are you sincere with all the questions? Or just being aggravating?

Then you are agreeing with what I said? I asked if you could be waking up when you are changing positions? You said yes, Pugsy said no.

Why so much hostility here with simple questions?

Anything flagged while awake isn't a real asleep event and thus doesn't count towards anything.
Tossing and turning...we aren't asleep when we do that activity no matter how brief.

We MUST BE ASLEEP for anything flagged to be real. If it's not real it simply doesn't count.
This includes RERAs.

I suggest you take the time to learn how to distinguish awake vs asleep breathing of the flow rate.
Your questions come off as argumentative and thus annoying.
You want to be spoon fed information and not do the work to learn yourself by research. Not a good way to get people to want to help you. It pisses us off.
Not everyone's personality will jive with the others....it is what it is.
Perhaps you could ask your questions on the apneaboard forum and see if their members have more patience with argumentative questions.
You ask a question and then argue about the answer....not a good response.
If you disagree with the answer you get you move on. It's rude to argue especially since you have done this from day one of your joining this forum.

Don't bother asking me anymore questions....I won't answer and in fact won't even see the questions because I will block all further posts from you. You have more than just annoyed me. My personality and your personality don't jive...I can't help you and have lost any desire to try to help you.

Was Yousuf trying to ask if it would show up on the report as a RERA when actually you are only waking up enough to change positions?

Oh I see, so this is one of those kinds of boards, is it? Lots of drama and cliques.

Yeah, pretty much, I don't know what anyone else is interpreting this as?

Yes, it's the kind of board that doesn't like trolls.
