I wasn't aware that the DreamStation locked out all of the data.
Locked out on the data from the DreamStation 2 because the files are specially encrypted. The OSCAR development team is currently working on decoding things but it's not easy and I haven't heard good things at all.
I would assume that there should be a Respironics Encore Pro software update that should handle the new encrypted data files at some time in the future but Encore Pro is a HUGE PITA to install and use and you can't do anything with it like we can OSCAR.
Not to mention Encroe Pro is Windows only software.

Speaking of OSCAR, any way to get it to show temps in F instead of C?

At this point, all things considered, I would rather have a DreamStation 2 then this older Airsense 10. But that's neither here or there since my DME only carries Resmed products.
At this point, only a fool would want a DS2, they are encrypting the data on the machine, so they are all dataless bricks,

Philips truly makes crap machines.

Well all I know is my System One was the best machine I ever had. Should have keep it. The ResMed is OK, but the System One had a better programing for my style of sleep. Perhaps that didn't carry over to the DS2. In any event, since the data is locked out on a DS2, I'll stick to my Airsense10.

You can try changing Response from Standard to Soft. Maybe it will feel better.
AutoSet Response mode
For patients who are sensitive to faster changes in pressure during therapy, AutoSet Response can be set to either Standard or Soft. If set to soft, patients will receive gentler pressure rises during therapy. Available in the AirSense 10 AutoSet and AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her devices.

I don't see that option in my options menu. Must be an older Airsense10 machine.

it's in clinician's mode. if you don't know how to access clinician's mode, you can get the clinician's manual at-

I can't get into the clinician's mode. My DME has it locked out somehow. It's all good. Maybe I'll try to get into it after my insurance pays it off.

Look 2 posts back to Zonker's note - he gave you a link to get the clinician manual.

That is simply not possible.

Looks like I didn't hold the two buttons down long enough. It's all good now, I got into the menu and made the adjustment. Works way better now. DME called and said I was hardly using the machine for the last month, had to go down to their office with the SD Card to set them straight. I'm at 93% compliance. :)

A month ago I had an appointment with my Dr. where he called in an order for
my new Resmed Aircurve Vauto. During this apointment I went ahead and set
up an appointment for Dec. 15. I do have the modem enabled and my Dr's office
can read my data so will they be able to just read my data using the modem to
certify complience for Medicare or will I need to set up another earlier appointment
just for that.

Yes this is to replace my cursed Dreamstation and mine was cursed. It failed that
on board performance check when it was still under warenty so was replaced. Then
the replacement failed the on board performance check when it was 18 months old
so was replaced so although it seemed to be working I checked my current one 2
months ago and it to failed . .
