I would politely ask the administrators to delete all the comments not related to the topic if possible, I just wanted to ask people for help, and discuss with other fellow cpap users and not arguing about language constructions exclusivity. Thanks
I could probably edit things but I would need permission from not just you to do that sort of editing.
I would need permission from any others involved.
I can make an official statement for further comments to be on topic though per OP request. Sometimes people listen to me but to be honest...most of the time they don't and unless things are getting really ugly I am not allowed to just go removing stuff willy nilly.
My suggestion....drop it and get back on topic. FWIW...I didn't think CG was mocking you or being rude because I too had a similar thought because I wasn't aware of what "behind god's back" alluded to but I didn't think it was worth commenting on and getting things derailed.
I felt like she was asking from an educational stand point because what she said mirrored my thoughts...I was curious as to what it meant.
So folks....let's get back on topic and leave the off topic discussion to PMs or just omit further topic derailing.
Thank you all in advance for muffling the fingers...if you heed my request.
No problem, the hatchets are buried at least from my side
EDIT:
@ChicagoGranny Please, accept my apologies, I now see I wrote "Behind Gods back in Serbia" so that's why you connected the term I used and my country. Sincere apologies once again.

Hi guys,
I was really struggling last night waking up, I have to get accustomed to the mask yet, I felt that I had leaks while I wasn't and was resetting it up all the time in the begging.
I had low AHI, low events but almost every time after an event I woke up. Is it possible that I was waking up every time I had this "obstructive events", is that normal ? Is it possible for a person with severe OSA not to have any ?

It is possible to have crappy sleep quality totally unrelated to any airway issue.
So it's possible to wake up for reasons unrelated to the airway...but then it is possible for airway issue (even one) to disturb someone's sleep especially if sleep was already fragile because of other reasons like mask issues or minor leak issues.
It is also possible that the flagged event you see just prior to the wake up and turning the machine off is a false positive awake breathing flagged event and not a real sleep apnea event.
Lots of possibles.
Have you zoomed in on the flagged event to see if you were asleep or not when it was flagged?
If you were asleep...what is the duration of the flagged OA? Do you know that you can go to the Events tab and check for duration?

Hi Pugsy, no I didn't know I could zoom in the event, I'll check that, thanks! Anyway I'll schedule an in lab polysomnography to see with the neurologist what's going on

I've look for the meaning of this expression with no success. It seems to be exclusive to Serbia.
I asked a friend who is a member of a private forum that deals with the English language about this expression. She started a poll last night. Most of the members are from English-speaking countries of North America and Europe, but there were two from Asia. As of noon today, she shared the responses with me. Of 43 respondents so far, only one had ever heard this expression. Here is the comment from the one that knows the expression.
In Croatia, and Balkan region, we use it often and almost literally: Bogu iza nogu, meaning: Behind God's legs, to express when someone lives in a remote village or very far from civilization.
... it is offensive when we say that someone lives behind God's legs ...
Legs/back - I don't know - maybe it is different from country to country or maybe it is in the translation to English?
My friend and I each had this thought: "I think the expression is cool and will be looking for an opportunity to use it. It would be fun to use it on my pastor."

When you wake up are you removing your mask? I notice you have 'Smart Start' on. So when you remove your mask it shuts the machine off. What do you do for the 15 minutes to half hour that you are awake? If I am wrong on this please correct me. The reason I bring this up is this. It would be interesting to see what happens to your pressure numbers if you left your mask on.
Also I notice the 95% pressure and the max pressure is 10.80 to 11.82, but you have your max pressure set at 16. You might try a setting closer to the 95% setting just to see what the results would be, maybe set you max at 12 or 12.5 instead of the 16. And try to leave your mask on even if you wake up. That way you could see what correction the pressure would make when reacting to the obstruction. Just a thought.

Well yes, there are variations... "Behind God's back" (Bogu iza ledja), "Behind God's legs" (Bogu iza nogu) as you said... Yeah, it's an expression to say that someone lives far from civilization, or should I say "in the middle of nowhere", I guess that's more suitable in English.
Anyway, we don't have any sense of Sleep Apnea here, and our medical insurances don't cover CPAPs, you have to buy it yourself with your own money and they are more expensive here than in US, for example Dreamstation 1 costs 1200$ here, Resmed Airsense s10 Autoset 1050$ with humidifier being sold separately which costs another 200$... Of course in order to buy it you have to get the diagnose first, and the testing costs all the way from &150 at home studies to $400 for the in lab study,
My measured AHI in home study was 40 and O2 saturation 71%, and when I say that to other doctors seems that they don't really care or think it's a big deal, they just see me being overweight is a problem, and dropping weight would fix the problem, well I guess it should, at least it would make it better, but it's literary impossible to do that without half decent sleep...
Good news is that the Phillips distributor refunded me the money today.

Hey Dan_McD !
I'm still fairly unexperienced with all of this. So I wake up, I get up, usually I think that the mask needs a resitting, or go to bathroom, or drink water because I'm a mouth breather and it tends to get dry or something... Sometimes I try to pull in the air thew my nose and I feel this small silicon piece that separates two nostril holes gets sucked into one of my nostrils so I have to tweak the mask and I'm not sure if I broke the seal afterwards...
Yeah, I'll try with max pressure 12 tonight... Thanks !

In my neck of the woods,"boondocks" serves quite well;
but there are degrees of backwoods
Suffice it to say that Nebraska is kind of a nationwide joke.
But those of us here feel it is our own precious well-kept secret.

You are aware that with the AirSense 10 models (any of them) that the humidifier is built in to the machine and the only thing needed to add to make dispense humidity is the water chamber...so they are ripping you off with 200$ for the water chamber.
I have no idea how that converts to US currency but I can buy the water chamber for around US $20 and that includes mailing it to me.
I do find it interesting it seems like the USA doesn't have a monopoly on machine suppliers who want to screw the cpap patient.
There was another user a while back where his supplier was charging over 300 dollars (US dollars) for that water chamber and told him that was adding the humidifier when the humidifier was already built in. I think he was in either the UK or somewhere in Europe but he ended up buying the water chamber from Amazon in the UK for roughly 25 US dollars.

Yep, I am aware that water chamber is 200$ and that they were ripping me off for the water chamber... The thing is, our law doesn't allow us buying any medical equipment from abroad, we are obligated to buy it from an official distributor registered in our FDA-like agency... Even simple things, like masks, spare parts etc, you have to buy it from the distributor, and you are not allowed buying it from abroad via couriers or post office...
Today this Phillips distributor guy told me to order masks from foreign countries freely, that in most cases for inexpensive medical equipment our customs turns a blind eye, but our law doesn't allow it, so you never know it, I may order a mask or something, and it could get confiscated by the customs...

Yeah...they might or they might look at it and let it pass because there is no benefit to them to steal it.
I don't know about Serbia but a few years back I sent a large box of used masks to someone in need in Romania. He had ALS and was on cpap because he needed it to help him breathe...and no money of course. So I sent masks and someone else sent a machine.
My box of masks sat in customs in Romania for 6 weeks and then they release it to the guy. The machine they released after a couple of weeks. The machine was worth a lot more than the masks. I didn't know of any pertinent laws but the guy's wife told me that theft was common in Romanian customs.
Spain also has some rather stringent medical import rules and Brazil...and Japan...so you aren't alone but yours are the most stringent I have experience with. Japan made a guy show a copy of his RX from his doctor to release a machine he bought in the US and had sent to where he lived in Japan. Lots of trips to customs office involved and he finally had the copy of the RX and they released the machine and didn't even charge and import duty. Go figure that one.
I assume your laws also prohibit such "gifts" from outside your country. ???
Looks like you need to make a little trip outside Serbia and come home with some extra "used" stuff.

A couple of things. If you are having dry mouth you need to bump the number up on the humidifier. The ResMed you're using goes from 0-8. The Dreamstation was 1-5. The ResMed gives you a little finer tuning on the humidifier. I also have dry mouth and snore and have to use a full mask. I noticed your humidifier is set at 4. If I were you I would try a 6 on the humidifier and see if that doesn't help your dry mouth a little. Only use distilled water also. If you have "rain out" or water in your tube at 6, You might consider buying a heated tube/hose so you can keep the humidifier number up and not have water in your hose.
The pressure settings on the ResMed will set in 10ths I think. I wouldn't go all the way down to 12 to start. See if the high setting will set at 12.5 or 12.6. Little changes vs. big changes will help you find the 'sweet' spot sooner that will work better for you. If your AHI goes up too much then you might need a 13 or 14. I would try at least 2 nights on any change you make to see if it is consistent.
There is a guy on YouTube, his name is Nick. His YouTube videos are under the name of CPAP REVIEWS. He is a Biochemist and has spent several years helping people with breathing and sleeping problems. He has a very good video on setting pressures that was helpful to me. Over time, the closer you can get your minimum and maximum pressures together the more accurate and consistent your readings will be. God Bless

That's not necessary. Any potable water will do. I understand the manufacturers' machine user guides in Europe don't mention distilled water.
Depending on the potable water, there may be a few mineral deposits in the humidifier tank. This can be easily cleaned out from time to time with a 30% solution of white household vinegar/70% water.
