You would expect a truck driver to have them.
"Balls", that is . . .
Female truck drivers too?
.

Maybe not the hairy kind, but balls, nonetheless.

This truck driver is obviously freaked out by the CPAP, and I can't say I blame him/her. All the talk about having balls, etc., is hardly welcoming or reassuring to someone who is uncomfortable and worried. Sure, he's complaining, but isn't this forum all about helping people? Why should this person feel comfortable posting again after these kinds of responses? How about a little compassion? He didn't sound to me like he was dissing everyone here, just like he is freaked out by the diagnosis and his difficulty adapting to the treatment. Shouldn't the first response be "How can we help?"

The having balls comment wasn't directed towards the OP...it was talking about men and women in the 40s and 50s and how they faced adversity.
Actually the OP hasn't been back to the forum since he first posted his one and only post.
He hasn't even seen the replies here.
Thread went off topic...it happens and since the OP hasn't been back...doesn't really matter.

The right machine and mask make all the difference in the world.

I guess I was reading the thread as if I were the OP, coming back 2 days later to see if there'd been any replies to my post. I know that I sometimes forget to check the box asking to be notified if someone responded to my post, so it's not unusual for me to ask something and then disappear from the thread for a couple of days. But thanks for your reasoned reply, Pugsy. I respect your work on this forum AND your amazing breadth and depth of knowledge about the world of the CPAP.
