She sounded very confused about OSCAR and cpaptalk.com

I tried to explain that bugsy read my data and read to her what bugsy wrote and tried to explain how OSCAR works and how it reads data off of that SD card.
You're just going to cause a big ruckus talking about things they don't understand. Nobody there knows about OSCAR or Pugsy or Internet forums.

The real question you should be asking is if there is legit reason why they set your expiratory pressure relief so high causing so many central apneas or did the doctor just screw up? And can they please just fix it because it's affecting your health?

UPDATE:

So the nurse called me back yesterday and I have an appt on 5/3 to talk to the NP about my AHI being so high.

But its weird everything is back to normal now. My AHI was 1.x something yesterday and 3.2 today.

I am still going to keep the appt and talk to the NP about why my AHI shot up for a week and why is there a 9 CM difference between the 2 pressures and Possible Central Apnea's.

Chris

OMG, if you can do nasal pillows, look at the Bleep! I know, I sound like a cheerleader for them but it was a game changer for me! I was switching masks constantly until it came out and emailing and messaging the company, trying to get my hands on it before release (they are right down the road from me and I knew about them almost as soon as I started on CPAP). I had trouble finding a mask that worked, for a variety of reasons, and was constantly changing trying to find one that worked...like every 3 to 4 weeks. I must have gone through about 15 -18 masks my first 14 months on CPAP! Drove my husband nuts...he uses the same mask all the time and his pillow last for absolute ever! And I had a big bin full of discarded masks   Anyway, since the Bleep came out just over 2 years ago...yay, I found my mask! Solved all my issues and I am a happy PAPer. No head gear (causing waking due to slipping and need to rearrange), no mask acne, no leaks/exhaust into my eyes. I get the occasional leak from my mouth popping open, but not enough to impact my therapy. And the CEO is just a phone call away if you run into any problems and need help...just an amazing resource! There are several others on here who are very satisfied with the Bleep!
Last night was second night with BLEEP. For some reason, I kept having anxiety and hubby said I stopped breathing a few times. My AHI was higher than usual. (shrugs).

So today is the day of my appointment.

I just downloaded all of my Oscar data and wrote down my AHI's for the whole month of April and for the 1st 2 days of May.

I counted up that I had 14 days that I had AHI's over 5 in April.

I am going to bring up everything that has been said on this thread to her this afternoon about Central Apneas and AHI reports etc.

I will reply back and let ya'll how how it went.

( I couldn't get the file to upload to the website ( it kept erroring out ) so I am going to have to attach the image via Imgur.

UPDATE:

I saw the nurse today and she said the reason because of the 9 CM difference was because it was adjusted due to covid or something like that.
I guess to where I wouldn't have to constantly be coming to the office?

No adjustments to my machine were made today.

I have to have a "Titration" test Monday the 10th of this month. Great a over night stay at a sleep clinic :(
I was due for a sleep study anyways.

I will know by 7:30 that next morning what my pressure is going to be and the results of the test.

What is a Titration test? I've never heard of that term before just " you need a sleep study done" is all they've ever said to me back in Texas.

Thanks
Chris

They put you on the machine, and then once you fall asleep they will try different pressures until they find the optimum pressure for you.

I just got home from my study and the nurse said I moved my legs like 126 times ( I've never been diagnosed with RLS. I dont have burning or tingling in my feet and legs)
and 26 times it sort of brought me out of a deep sleep. ( she said that wasn't bad). I guess she's seen worse Lol.

I had a few apnea's

I slept on my left and right sides.

My new pressure is 24 / 19.

Well its been about 2 or 3 weeks since the sleep study and the pressure changes, and I miss the Vivid dreaming.

I use to be able to see and hear in my sleep what was going on in my dreams. And now that i've had my pressure changed
I really don't have the vivid dreams anymore its just black now.

So its either: I am totally forgetting the dreams apon awaking? Or I am sleeping more soundly and not having vivid dreams.
I am not sure which is which right now.

The sleep study results said I am going though all 5 stages of sleep. But I do move my legs at night and it causes partial wakeups ( at least 26 of them did out of the 126)

Before the pressure change I could tell you the whole dream from beginning to end for the most part..
There has been nights where I remember about 90 % of it and miss out a few parts of it but I can give a good summary of what happened.

Remembering a lot of dreams isn't really a good thing. It means you are waking up often during the dream long enough to form a memory. Waking often isn't a good thing at all.

The lack of remembering dreams doesn't mean you aren't having them ....just means you aren't waking up so many times which is a good thing. You are indeed sleeping more soundly but it doesn't mean you aren't dreaming.

Right.

My AHI has been staying between 0.1 and 0.9 so far.
