Go to Amazon. Type "SD card reader" in the search box. Choose one. That's it, easy peasy.

I have to have ONE MORE dentist visit in May and get these last 4 teeth fixed then I can buy the USB card reader.
What does that have to do with buying a $7 USB SD card reader off amazon?

I wanted to get my dentist appt done and over with and then use what I had left to get the card reader and not before hand.
But I just went ahead and bought one just now.

Sooooooooo... I just got the card reader out of the mailbox!
What do I need to do? Just pop the USB card in and screenshot the results?
I noticed when I opened OSCAR it says I need to lock my resmed card before plugging it into the card reader?
My card says its a Phillips Respironics card made by Micron.
Thanks,
Chris
I forgot to also say my AHI yesterday was like 10.9 and today it was 8.7 with a new cushion and headstrap! Its still not normal! Normally I run 2 to 3 to 4 AHI.

Go to the main overall statistics page and get a screen shot of the entire page in one shot....and make sure to include the changes to prescription section that is down towards the bottom of the page. You will likely need to scroll down a bit and will cut off some stuff on the very top but that's okay. I want to see the changes to prescription section in its entirety.
Also....when did this higher AHI start? And are you taking any medications of any kind? If so, what?
Any changes in dosage of meds?

I dont know why it says I got the machine in 2019. My paperwork says 2018.
The AHI changes started like a week or so ago. I have since changed my cushion and headgear.
Only change to meds was my Effexor went back up to 75 mg. But I wasnt having high AHI's when I was on the 75 MG before. It was always running like 3 or 4.

I just looked through my OSCAR history and my AHI was 4.54 on April 14th.
My appt with the doctor was on the 8th.
From there its gone 5.79 ,8.41, 7.40 , 8.16, 10.97 then today was 8.7 ( even though Oscar shows 8.8 )

Don't worry about minor differences between what the machine shows for AHI and what OSCAR reports. That's just a rounding up or down thing.
Do you have any issues with your lungs??? Like COPD or other respiratory problems???
The bulk of your AHI increase is in the number of central apneas....and your difference between inhale (IPAP) and exhale (EPAP) is now 9 cm and that's a prime recipe for increased central apnea activity.
The change was made Jan 25. EPAP was dropped significantly but IPAP wasn't.
Any special reason for the change Jan 25? and/or the change Jan 7?
Are you comfortable making changes yourself or do you want the doctor's input first?
I don't know why the big change a week ago but the AHI wasn't all that great even before this past week. Too many centrals for sure and most likely from the 9 cm PS (pressure support or difference between EPAP and IPAP). I don't know why the doctor would have made that sort of change unless you have something else going on with your lungs.
I would need to do some research about Effexor and central apneas to speculate on the impact that meds might have had. It's not a common culprit though....normally we think pain meds as the culprit and not meds like Effexor. Something that might suppress respiration is usually what we look for.

No lung problems.
On your changes question, I am waiting for a call back from the nurse and I am going to read what you wrote to her about having central apnea's and see what she says.
The changes in JAN the doctor did himself while I was in his office because I was waking up a couple times a night but that has stopped since he changed the pressure when I saw him on Jan 7th
I dont remember my pressure being changed on Jan 25th.

So I just now got off the phone with the nurse.
She sounded very confused about OSCAR and cpaptalk.com
I tried to explain that bugsy read my data and read to her what bugsy wrote and tried to explain how OSCAR works and how it reads data off of that SD card.
She sounded very confused lol. ( she sounded like a older lady)
She said she'd talk to the dr and he may want me to come back in and see the NP and she'll call me back tomm to tell me what the DR said.

Do you think older men are more likely to be confused than younger ones?
Why not ask 'Bugsy'? Though she'll be more likely to answer to 'Pugsy'.
