UPDATE...............................
I rinsed my mask out yesterday with water ( no soap) in case it broke me out.
I loosened my straps from super tight to a little bit looser.
Even though my mask slid around a little bit and made this God awful high pitched squeal that made me jump when it happened
My AHI was 3.1 this morning.
Yesterday I was alert ready to get up as soon as the alarm went off yesterday even though my AHI was in the 7's.
This morning I laid there from 8:55 AM until 9:15 and finally got up. ( tried to doze off but I kept forcing myself to open my eyes when that happened)
I was a little drowsy at first but after I finished my first cup of coffee I am wide awake now.

Sounds like progress! You may be able to make additional strides forward once we can take a look at an Oscar chart.

I will try to loosen my mask some tonight.. I just rinsed my mask out and all of that.
You're a better person than me.
First, you need a reader that will take an SD card. The first four on that page will do that.
Second, it needs to plug into your computer.
The first 4 say their for cameras and video games and some that transfer data from usb to cell phone storage.
So I am looking at this one:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Type-C-Micro ... /466681095
Would that work?
Chris
Just get "any" sd card reader, they aren't marketed for cpaps because more people have cameras, it doesn't matter.

Well things have gone from better to worse...........
I had a AHI for 1.x one day to 7 the next to 8 to 7.2 today.
I am going to have to get me a card reader and I guess post my OSCAR results here.

good guess.
once the experts here see the data, they can offer some helpful advice.
good luck!

So I called my sleep doctor on Wed and told them what was going on with my AHI being all over the place.
They ( my pulmonary doctor) called Lincare and got a 30 day download from my machine and the nurse called me back and said everything looks good and no adjustments were needed pressure wise.
They think that because my bed fell the night before ( the slat came loose and caused the bed to become cockeyed.) the nurse thinks that could be what could of caused my AHI to go up.
The nurse told me that it is natural for the AHI to go up and down night to night and that anything below a 5 is considered no apnea's.
But this morning my AHI was 8.4!!!! I did have to adjust my mask a time or two during the night because I kept feeling a little bit of air escape around the seal of the cushion.
But other than that I feel fine and I have been awake all day long.
I do have a new mask on the way, but it takes Lincare forever to get it to me. 7 to 10 days!!!!
I still dont get it. lol.,

And if you don't do Oscar, you never will.

the user has been told this three times, but apparently doesn't want to take the time.
i'm out.

I am working on it.. I have somethings I need to take care of ( medically) first before I can buy the USB card reader.

Lol..
I have to have ONE MORE dentist visit in May and get these last 4 teeth fixed then I can buy the USB card reader.

Many desktops have an SD card slot. Look on the "tower" or central unit -- the box in which your hard drive resides. You may have USB plugs and an SD card slot. They would likely be on the front where the user can access them easily.
Just a thought.

They're giving you a load of bull, to pacify you and get you off their backs.

Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds.
As many have pointed out, your priority (for CPAP treatment) is an SD card reader and post some charts.

There should be some detailed data available on the machine's LCD screen that would maybe help a bit even without the SD card reader and using the available software.
No...it's not ideal but it's better than nothing for sure and might give a clue as to what needs to be done or not done.
On the LCD screen the AHI is available along with the category of the flagged events....apneas ...central and since central apneas are a known fact then the AI would let us figure out OAs and with AHI known and AI known...by default we can figure out hyponea index.
So....if we know the AHI and the AI and the central index along with pressure settings and pressure support (since OP states a bilevel machine is used).....we can get a fairly decent idea as to at least the category breakdown of events and we have to know the categories to know if we need more pressure or not.
If primarily and increase in OAs and hyponeas then more pressure is probably needed. As to why some nights a decent AHI and some nights not so decent and/or the recent change.....the 2 most common suspects are supine sleeping or REM stage sleep.
If not sleeping so great with a lot of wake ups for some reason then maybe we are just seeing a lot of false positives.
Until you get a SD card reader....at least post the AHI and event category breakdown....maybe for a bad night and a good night.
So....AHI....AI and central index...and pressures used along with PS setting and did you sleep soundly or have a night with a lot of wake ups.
