Hopefully. A couple years ago I replaced my trusty AirSense 10 because the motor was getting noisy (I probably didn't change filters often enough). I decided to be different and give the DreamStation a try (I'm on a high deductible health plan with HSA, so I just buy my own equipment online). Since the recall notice went out, I dusted off my AirSense 10 and have been trying to put up with the noise. For whatever reason, I've noticed that I'm sleeping better than I did with the Philips machine.

Since I buy my equipment outright, I don't want to pay full price for a soon to be outdated machine. If I could have gotten it for the sale price (pre-recall) I would have considered it, but I don't want to pay more due to demand. I also had some problems with the humidifier tank on the 10 leaking at the seam, the 11 appears to be a better design without the seam.

So now I'm checking Google, CPAP.com and the forums every day for some sign that they are going to release the new machine.

Hello. I am a new user of CPAP and was prescribed the ResMed AirSense 11. I wanted to message @BlueDragon to let him know that I have uploaded the data from the machine to his Dropbox, but it seems I am too new to this forum to send a private message. OSCAR cannot read my data, is it because the machine is too new? Please advise

And yes....Your model machine is brand new and OSCAR hasn't yet been updated so that it is compatible with your machine.

Thank you for that! As for the model, I am not sure how I can find that information. There is quite a bit of information on the device itself (lots of long strings of numbers). I will keep looking but if you happen to know how I can determine which model it is please do let me know

I am coming from a very old Philips Respironics Series 60 CPAP machine which served me well for more than 10 years, and still works. I was offered a new AirSense 11 and was able to test it on site. This thing is noisy as *ell. When I inhale and exhale, I hear strong (white-like) noise which is extremely disturbing. They had AirSense 10 units as well, and this is what I got. The noise level is OK.

The humidifier does not do much though. Most of the water remains unused. I wake up with slight headaches. I tried Auto, then humidity level=3. Tonight, I will try the maximum level. The Philips worked just fine at level 2 or 3.

I've used a PR Remstar System One for 11 years myself and recently also got an Airsense 10. No experience with the 11.

In my case, the Airsense 10 is near silent. The System One was very quiet but the Airssense is really next level. Very happy about that because I'm very sensitive to noise. I also never had such great numbers in Oscar but that's another conversation. I've used a Dreamstation too for about 2.5 months in late 2019 early 2020 and the Airsense 10 feels even better to me than that. That machine was noisy af... Therapy was better than the System One but nowhere close to the Airsense.

As for the humidifier, they are very different beasts. My System One humidifier barely worked anymore so I had it at 3. With no heated tube, sometimes my mask remained dry, and sometimes it had a lot of condensation in it in the morning

With the Airsense, I have the heated tubing and I tried temperature and humidity at Auto and ended up with condensation in my mask. Not rainout exactly but similar to the System One. After experimenting a couple nights, last night I had temp at maximum and humidity at 5 and everything was great. We sleep with the window open even at this time so room temperature at night is probably lower than average. The other nights it barely used any water but it used at least 75% of it last night. I was also testing a new mask (new for me at least). Been on a Resmed Activa LT for over 10 years. I need to replace it as it's no longer made and, while its bulk didn't bother me before, it was starting to. So last night I used the minimalist Airfit N30 and I loved it. No condensation, plenty humidity for me and pretty quiet overall plus no leaks.

From what I understand, there's more variation than one would hope between machines of the exact same model in terms of noise. Pressure settings also make a difference. Humidity will require experimentation. Took me 4 nights to get it right for me with my new Airsense 10 and I'm sure my settings will change as weather changes (I live up in Quebec, Canada).

The noisy Airsense 11 -- That's odd. My PRS60 was pretty quiet, and my new Airsense 11 is a LOT quieter than it. Like almost half as loud. I haven't noticed any strong noise from it during inhale or exhale.

The humidification on the Airsense 10: Are you using the standard (non-heated) tube? If so, I recommend getting a heated tube. With climate at "Auto", the machine will limit the humidity to prevent rainout. If it senses the heated tube, it knows it can go to higher humidity and still prevent rainout. I had the same experience you describe (hardly any water used, humidity level too low) when using the un-heated tube. Simply adding the heated tube (with climate still on "Auto") increased the water usage to about 3/4 tank per night, similar to what the PRS60 used, and greatly increased comfort. I did have to manually increase the tube temp to 84 to get rid of residual condensation, but that may be due to my room temp being pretty cold.

I am using a heated tube. I set it to humidity=5 last night and it was too humid and warm (the tube temp was set to high as well). Turned it down to humidity=4, very little water used again.

You haven't complained about nasal dryness. The idea is to prevent nasal dryness, not consume water.

Sorry about the headaches. There are many causes of headaches. Headaches without nasal dryness are unlikely to be caused by "using little water".

Is there some sort of reason we don't see this on cpap.com yet? Do the DMEs get a 3 month headstart or is the chip shortage complicating things?

Cpap.com is a DME.

Cpap.com is a DME.

You know what I mean. The kind that take your insurance. Ignoring all that it doesn't answer my question why the online sellers are not listing them yet.
