I guess if you buy out of pocket it’s a good time to stock up on the older version. For people with insurance that cover the cost of the machine, OSCAR support for the 11 and dreamstation 2 will take a while so they should wait if they really want the latest machine.

The 8 had one connection, the 9 another, the 10 a more standard one, and the 11 a newer standardish connector,

The connector on the 10 is like my older notebook, and the one on the 11 is more like the newer notebook.

Things change.
So probably a new DC-DC converter too.

Unless you get a plug converter, and I think I've seen those once or twice, but I might be imagining that.

Does this mean with each power brick change they become more energy efficient or are they just making them smaller because reasons. Not good with electricity so I just wanted to know

Curious when the release date may come. Definitely gonna be one of the first to purchase one. My AS10 has a LOT of hours on it, and it's making a noise now that sounds like the motor is wearing out.

Does your insurance cover the full cost of the machine? If not it may be a more economical choice to get the same model you currently have

My insurance doesn't cover any of it until I meet my $10,000 deductible. So I'm paying 100% out of pocket for it. I've had to do that with my last 2 machines.

OSCAR is another consideration.
It might be a while before Air11 is supported.

If you're mechanically inclined, S9 blower motors are purportedly identical to the ones used in AS10.

On that note I can’t wait for the tear down for the air 11 to see if it’s the same as the one from before.

I would think it won't be too long before it's released for two reasons:
1) Resmed currently discounting AS10s to clear the shelves
2) The person who released the pics and info about the AS11 is a respiratory therapist. I'm guessing he got possession of the AS11 to train him for use with patients. Doubt this would be done very much in advance for several reasons.

I agree. That RT probably violated an NDA by posting the pics.

Not sure about NDA since they never removed their post

In all likelihood there is an NDA in place and I'm guessing that's why the Reddit poster isn't responding to the data request from the OSCAR team. He's concerned that within the data is information that could tie the NDA violation back to him.

But no, you can't assume that because the Reddit posts are still present, there isn't a (violated) NDA at play. Reddit is not a party to the NDA and therefore not a party to any misappropriation. ResMed could certainly request its removal, but Reddit does not have remove it, without a court order.

From https://nondisclosureagreement.com/nda-violation.html
Injunctions and Free Speech

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits the government from placing restrictions on a person’s freedom of speech. One exception to this rule is that a court may issue an injunction against the public disclosure-usually in the form of a publication of trade secrets that have been obtained in violation of an NDA, for example, if an employee violates an NDA and gives trade secrets to a reporter. A court would weigh several factors when deciding whether or not to forbid the reporter from publishing the secrets. The court would consider the commercial interest in the trade secrets, the reporter’s right to speak freely and the illegal behavior used to acquire the trade secrets.

Companies are also becoming more wary of attempting to remove Internet content through legal means because of the Streisand Effect.

I suppose. I’m not well versed in legal the legal world. I’m wondering how the dreamstation 2 data is coming along as last I saw it said it needed more samples as it was significantly different from the original dreamstation.
