I had to think about that. The grounded prong is at a 90-degree angle to the cord as are the other two prongs. The position of the prongs puts the plug head at a 45-degree angle to the wall plate.

Well, the simple answer is "Don't buy one".
I agree but it's getting harder and harder to find them without that plug.

Go to Lowes and buy some cable and a plug and receptacle and make your own cord.

In case someone wants to know how things really works, a $ .89 extension cord can carry enough power to power many XPAPS at the same time. More than four. If you also plan on plugging a A/C or welder, then you would need a heavier plug (and outlet feed).

We did that for a compressor when the cr@p cords kept frying on us.
We used Romex.
