To be serious: The only person that can give you legal advice would be an attorney. In order for an attorney to give you legal advice there has to be an attorney client relationship established. i.e., the attorney agrees to represent you, talk to you, etc.Phurious wrote:Does anyone here have a real, legal opinion on this matter? If you do I would love to talk about it. I am considering calling the police and having the store owner arrest for theft.
Calling the police to have the store owner arrested could lead to you being arrested for filing a false police report and or being sued in civil court for false arrest.

I can share with you my experience as a consumer in dealing with similar situations.
Having said the above, I would go back to my original suggestion of starting a paper trail. Had I had the phone conversation you had with the result you had, I would have followed up with the a certified letter return receipt requested to the "Head" of the supply house and with a copy of the letter, sent certified as well, to the store owner. I would explain what was agreed to and ask when are they going to be able to resolve this.
Also keep in mind that should the matter end up in court, everything you have said and done will be brought up by the people you are suing. There is nothing worst than a scornful look from a judge because you cussed out someone on the phone. Happily, I've followed my attorneys advice and have never been bestowed that particular honor.
