Hi everyone,
Did my first night of WatchPAT and of course.. my partner decides to toss and turn all night and I keep waking up. Apparently he slept soundly and can't remember any of this - lucky for some! I'm just glad I paid for 3 nights study as I think my sleep was a lot more interrupted than normal last night.
Here is the sleep report.. I was not expecting any AHI as I scored index 0.6 and 1.4 on both my NHS sleep studies but I think this comes down to the scoring guidelines. NHS consultant told me a hypopnea is at least 50% airflow reduction vs I think AASM is now 30%, also WatchPAT scores that with 3% oxygen desaturation and the NHS may be 4% (I'm not sure).
I'm a little worried about the low % of REM sleep but I'll see what the next 2 nights show as like I said, I did sleep badly last night so this isn't fully reflective of a normal nights sleep.
I'm feeling very happy to see this as it means I'm not a hypochondriac or a fantasist, and there is a treatment option to explore. We are also going to look for a super king bed online as I've realised how much been affected by lack of space at night.
