Over the years I had problems
with a PR Series 50 machine - Philips replaced it,
with two different Series 60 machines, Philips replaced both of them,
with two different DreamStation machines, Philips repaired them (took two trips with one of them).
I think Philips has made the cost analysis to repair if possible otherwise replace under warranty.
If it works after repair, that's fine for me.

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad Philips replaced the machines for you.
I think the place I bought it would replace it again if I took it back, but I'm not sure that the replacement would be any better! Also, if I was sure it was working properly, despite making the noise it makes, I would just live with it, but I'm still not sure if the noise is supposed to be there or not. I'm unsure because there's so much talk about the same problem all over the net, that it makes me think it might be just 'normal' in the machines they make in recent times.
Anyway, I'll have a chat with the people at the place I bought it next week, and see what they think about it.
