While Medicare has adjusted their requirements over the years apparently they have yet to relax the 2hr dx requirement.
Someone corrected you on this further up in the thread, but you are again repeating it. For studies less than two hours, a patient qualifies for a Medicare diagnosis if:
1. There occurs 30 or more respiratory disturbances.
or
2. There occurs 10 respiratory disturbances with documented symptoms of excessive daytime sleepiness, impaired cognition, mood disorders or insomnia, or documented hypertension, ischemic heart disease, or history of stroke.
#2 makes the requirement very relaxed since most people have one or more of those symptoms and quickly rack up 10 RDs.

That someone was YOU, Granny, under one of your (many) "Derail n Bash" alter IDs (Whale Road). If you want to be helpful You should direct your help to the OP.
Maybe finding out why Medicare authorized another PSG would be helpful esp. IF there is already a qualifying PSG.

You are one of the only posters in this thread, besides me, that is on Medicare afaik. You could direct your help to the OP but chose to join the "Derail n Bash" gang. What a disappointment.

Move on folks. Get back on topic and the topic wasn't bitching about what others said or how they said it.
Further off topic comments will be removed.

I am getting sleep study next Thursday. Medicare does require it. I also downloaded OSCAR to try to find out what is going on with my current machine. I am still learning this software. Please dont post any negative comments. I am just trying to figure out why I am so exhausted all the time
