hmmmm well that leaves me a bit confused.... I raised the pressure one more cm (as per someone else's suggestion ) last night because supposedly I'm still getting events even though I'm significantly better on 8 cm.... they also suggested bringing down the minimum one cm (could be done later after raising the maximum I still have kept it at 12 cm) they also suggested turning off the c flex which I did.. I couldn't handle the pressure all when I turned off the c flex so then I turned it back on and then could sleep better... now should I give it a week and try the 9 with the c flex off (r on??) and again I am confused about what to do with my maximum and also how to learn to read what my maximum should be? It seemed when I raised the pressure to 8 last week my maximum started going higher- it was about 9-10 when I had it the minimum at 7 but when I bumped it up it went up to 11-12 so now I am confused... oh one more thing last night was the first time I experienced aerophagia burping - is this gonna be a problem? and is this from the minimum or maximum? from what I am reading I should bring down the maximum by one or two cm?

Since you are starting to have some aerophagia issues...reduce your minimum to 8.
Leave the max alone for now.

OK for how long should I do this? another week and then check back in to see whether to play with the maximum?

We only mess with the maximum if we can't get the aerophagia under control or it causes some other problem.

To reinforce what Pugsy says, it's rare that there's a legitimate reason to reduce the max setting, for a few people, it's needed, for most, it's not.

oh ok thank you for that advice - you all are life savers. my problem is I'm still not where I want to be.. I'm much better though... but im still waking up a lot.. but I will give it more time...
I also don't know what to do when my nose gets stuffy- I know when that happens I wake up from a snore! that's what happened last night and of course that makes me clench
I rinse with netipot religiously so im not sure if I should go back on cortisone sprays or try mouth taping (I only tried most taping for two nights so not sure if it works for me) or try a full face mask? I tried the chinstrap I absolutely cannot have anything around my jaw.
its not everyday though - my nose is a bit bitter on the 8 (or maybe its a coincidence lol)

Hi All
So since I have been feeling a bit bitter on a pressure of 8 (even thought still feel I need more)
I decided to tape down my Nexium dose about a few nights ago. Now for the past two nights especially last night I have felt absolutely horrible.
I am not sure if its cause of the reduced Nexium dose or because I took a melatonin last night to sleep (5 mg natures bounty) or because I turned off the C flex
I have no idea what to do now... Do I try to go a 0.5 cm up since it looks like I need a 9 and most days (if im reading anything correctly) or should I try to get back on the same dosage of Nexium see if that helps? not sure im confused between the melatonin, the Nexium, the c flex and the pressure!

Hello
So I am a bit confused. As you know I have ben trying to increase my pressure - but it just causes so much anxiety. Yesterday I managed with an 8.5 pressure with melatonin and I turned on the EPR (might turn it off today) - I woke up feeling like crap but also my heart is achy and racing.... I have gotten that from time to Time even before stopping the machine... did all sorts of heart tests everything was normal... I watched all the videos about how to read your data.... it seems half of my events are just junk and not real events. but at this point I don't even know if Im reading this correctly (posted some examples). The very weird thing is I increased the Nexium to 40 and my symptoms magically dissapeared (especially the TMJ) except for last night made me feel really crappy but most days have been better... however, the heart achy racing thing is freaking me out and that is increasing my anxiety... I am still wondering where I should go from here? I keep waking up with my heart racing and this has been going on for years I thought that the cpap would solve this but I am still feeling it... would really appreciate any help at all
