Chase field has A/C but is not heated in winter. We have our priorities straight.

btw it also has a pool so you can watch games from the pool party (if you can afford those tickets)

Trump brought in the feds to help the Navajo nation. Meanwhile down in the valley we are already dropping far below projections and that is with most of the valley pretty much ignoring the stay at home orders.
There is much talk today about moving the mlb season here.

after i asked that, i realized i don't know how the native population here is fairing. suppose i should look it up.
i hope that baseball is very cautious in this regard. it's that rebound effect i'm concerned about now.
plus, who wants to play ball in 120 degree weather?

Sounds tough trying to watch a ball game in that bitter cold Arizona unheated indoor stadium.

Lol. It wasn't a ball game I was whining about.

Chase stadium also does concerts and such. I went to a Billy Joel concert with a friend. Luckily she warned me before so I made sure to bring a sweater and gloves.
Some doctors moving away from ventilators for virus patients

Some interesting thoughts:
Some doctors moving away from ventilators for virus patients
Some hospitals have reported unusually high death rates for coronavirus patients on ventilators, and some doctors worry that the machines could be harming certain patients.
Generally speaking, 40% to 50% of patients with severe respiratory distress die while on ventilators, experts say. But 80% or more of coronavirus patients placed on the machines in New York City have died, state and city officials say.
Higher-than-normal death rates also have been reported elsewhere in the U.S. ...
Similar reports have emerged from China and the United Kingdom. One U.K. report put the figure at 66%. A very small study in Wuhan, the Chinese city where the disease first emerged, said 86% died.
The reason is not clear. It may have to do with what kind of shape the patients were in before they were infected. Or it could be related to how sick they had become by the time they were put on the machines, some experts said.

Do note, AP is weak on medical science and science in general.

Forgive me if this has already been posted--not reading the entire thread because SOME people have to work for a living

I thought things would slow down but I'm busier than ever working in my "home office".
But this was in today's SF Chronicle about jury rigging CPAP and BIPAP machines as ventilators:
https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/UC- ... 183132.php
It also briefly mentions something I saw yesterday about health care providers using CPAP's with really long hoses. They leave the CPAP in the hallway and visit patients' rooms wearing a FF mask to be breathing clean air from outside the patient's room. They stand in for "Powered Air Purifying Respirators"

Medical grade Hydrogen peroxide at 3% solution in reservoir is said to work wonders with clearings lungs from Covid 19 mucus buildup. Any comments??

There is a difference. The forum software truncates URLs.

Here are instructions for posting a title instead of the "raw" URL.
Edit: There's a mistake in the instructions. Gotta go now. Bye.
