I just want to apologize for not posting anything back to you guys yet. I wasn't trying to be rude, honest. I haven't recieved my cpap machine yet, they told me they are waiting for insurance approval before they bring me in and set me up. I thank you ALL for your personal stories, advice, comfort, and support!! You all have been such a blessing!!! I will post again as soon as i get my machine. I'm very sorry for the crickets, however, the sound of crickets do help me fall asleep. 🤪

Ok, i recieved and started using cpap 3 nights ago. Last night i made a mistake on my settings and ended up waking up to a bath in my mask, so i ripped of my mask like i was drowning then had to change my shirt due to water drenching the top of my shirt. Needless to say i did not sleep good, i woke with my memory foam bed topper hanging off the side of the bed, guess i did alot of tossing and turning. Will i ever start sleeping good with this thing and feel rested?

Yes, but make sure machine with hum. is located below your head by a couple of inches (at least) and don't overfill tank!

Thanks. Yeah i thought i turned the climate back up a little but apparently not. I like to breathe cool air in, that's why i turned the temp off initially.

The heat and humidity can be set independently if needed. I never use heat. Because of the cool temps humidity needs to be set on the lower side to avoid condensation in the hose and mask. Depends on the climate, seasonal changes and what works best for you. It is a bit of a process to get things dialed in. Might take several adjustments.

Well, you had a memorable first night! Humidity settings are a really personal preference. Who knows, you may actually prefer very low (or even no) humidity. Just experiment and see what feels best for you.

Lol yes it was unfortunately a memorable night! I have always had to sleep with the fan or air conditioner passing air across me at night and i always keep the room 65 degrees, gotta have cool air to sleep at night or i can't sleep. I chilled the water for my humidifier in the fridge but struggling with the balance of just a little cool humidity without having water come up my hose and drown me in my sleep lol.

Ok you all, it's been 2 weeks now since i got my cpap, the last 2 to 3 nights I've been able to keep it on all night but in the mornings i wake up feeling even more like a zombie than ever before. Please can you tell me why i might be going through this?

sorry to hear it. it may help to give the experts here some data to work with so that they can make some informed suggestions.

as julie said, download the free software program oscar and post some charts.
