A suspected Covid-19 male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student female nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath. "Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?"
Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."
He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?"
Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and
pulls back the covers.
She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles gently in the other.
She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine."
The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and says very slowly,
"Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very, closely:
"Are - my - test - results - back?"
Hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves…..it’s amazing how the world can change in such a short period of time…..

Cats are more often OK with sitting around, doing very little.
Ours gets restless--we reach for the laser pointer.
She knows where we keep it!

Normal store displays would lead us to believe that chicken hot dogs, sausage, etc. are very popular.
And yet, the other day, that's all that was left.
It seems that without real meat (mammal), life is way less appealing.
Self-quarantine is not quite so miserable with bacon.
I cannot have grains, potatoes, starch, sugar, gums, maltodextrin, natural or artificial flavors or artificial sweeteners -- unless I want to land in the hospital, which isn't exactly a safe place to be these days, especially not since New Orleans has the highest per capita rate of corona in the US.
Like everyone else, I'm coping.
I'm also paying higher rates because I can't find what I need locally and must order on-line.

I should not have said they disappeared, just because those who were doing it
for non-medical reasons suddenly fell off the bandwagon.
At least these foods were thought to be a weight-loss miracle long enough
to improve availability for those who really need it.
Now if it only were so for diabetic-friendly foods.
I have completely stopped buying carbonated beverages
because of the absolute dearth of sugar-free flavors I can stand.
I should not have said they disappeared, just because those who were doing it
for non-medical reasons suddenly fell off the bandwagon.
At least these foods were thought to be a weight-loss miracle long enough
to improve availability for those who really need it.
