Hopefully a funny story (well, I think it's funny) and not a meme is ok. We are avid mask users here in L.A. with them always at the ready for checking the mail, dog walking, store runs, visitors, etc. Found out my mask is multi purpose. Was nodding in and out in the recliner when my grandson (recently recovered from The Virus) couldn't sleep and wanted to know if it was ok for him to play xbox on the huge TV maybe 6 feet from my chair. I donned my improvised sleep mask and couldn't even tell the TV was on. Hope it filters germs as well as it filters light. If anyone else had walked through the room I'm sure they'd have said, "No Grandma, that not how this works. That's not how any of this works."

Kteague, thanks for the good laugh! But my goodness, I somehow missed the news that you had had the virus! I'm so glad you are recovering.

Is it legal to win if you start the thread? I thought the basic ground rules for this type of thread is to top the previous entry and the last entry wins. If you have declared a winner, the thread chain is over and needs to be closed.

Being declared the "winner" is never final.
It appeals to our natural sense of one-up-manship.

Without vanity, where would we be?

Answer: paleo, all the time.

  In this case Pugsy is the judge she is the only one who can close threads. However you all have plenty of time to best me with memes. I start full time on Monday will not have near as much time to play on the internet finding memes.

I'm sorry, I should have been clearer. My grandson had it, as well as his girlfriend. They were away from home nearly 2 months waiting for negative test results before coming home. Both are good now.

That must have been scary! I'm glad they have both recovered well.
