Oh, you made a good retort. Too bad you deleted it before I could reply. Around you, I have to stay on my toes.

Of course, we have seen a lot of nonsense from a certain account.
I've noticed that. They don't seem to be able to put tu and tu together.
Well, they
did, but they got 3.246 1/2 oranges.... New math?
Ahhh! The bully pas de deux.
So amusing .....the nonsense is in your reading skills and your imagination. Your rudeness is real.

Folks...get back on topic and in case anyone doesn't remember the topic...it's about various mask cleaning products that people like to use.
It is not about pointing out various people's inadequacies or what someone perceives as rudeness or anything other than mask cleaning products.
Get back on track or there will be no track to take sideways.

I don't know what interpersonal crap is going on here, but I expect people to be nice--here and everywhere. Even if it HURTS. This is what I teach my children. This is what I live by. Please don't give in to base knee jerk reactions. It doesn't look pretty on anyone and brings the whole community down.
I use the same foaming liquid soap (mild detergent) in my master bathroom that I wash my hands with. It gets my mask as squeaky clean as anything else would. Just about anything you wash will will work. Soaps and detergents bind to oils and dirt and make them water soluble, allowing them to go down the drain when rinsed with water.
Don't sweat things like this. K?
We've got bigger things to worry about--now and always.

There is no "interpersonal crap" going on. Just some fun with puns about ballet.

I use dawn myself, but I am planning on picking up something that has less aroma. No matter how much I rinse afterwards I can still taste dawn for a day or two afterwards.

For my mask (nasal pillows), I swab it with a washcloth after my shower most days.
On mornings when I'm running the dishwasher, I'll put the mask in it. Put the strap around an upright prong, pull around another prong, bring it back, and put the end that connect to the hose over the starting prong, to "lock" the thing in place. It always comes out smelling fresh, and certainly oil-free after this occasional tuneup.
When I wash my hose, I'll use a few drops of dawn, with water, then when the water runs clear and suds-free, put in some lemon juice and water and shake that.
Neither the hose nor the mask ever smell bad, but the above gives them a welcome "rejuvenation of fresh" when I take these steps.

I liked the unscented Dawn.

I like the "pepper test" that shows the action of detergents.
If one wishes to consider another product---TEST IT.
Just don't put any pepper on your mask.

I use dawn, I find it to be best, also after rinsing I put a bit of mouthwash in the tube which contains alcohol for germs and has a minty flavor so it doesn't taste bad. I have two hoses, as soon as I get up each day I wash my water holder, mask, and tubing, once I wash my tubing I hang to dry and use the previously cleaned tube that was drying overnight. I also have a cleaning machine that I put the mask & tube in each day. Doing both of those things seems to help as I am prone to sinus infections & bronchitis.

There is no such thing as a "cleaning machine"--unless it is your wallet that needs cleaning.

please, please, PLEASE don't use a "cleaning machine"! it does nothing that soap and water won't do, even if are immune compromised.
i'm hoping it isn't soclean. please read about that here-
