I’ll just post here since my PM to you remains in my outbox, again...

Hi Jen,

For some reason, my original message to you sat in my outbox for a few days and I thought it would not go through. Thus my reason for posting on the forum, as well. Thank you for your feedback and advice — you’ve been very generous and I appreciate that.

Regards POTS, I am very familiar with it, as I do experience the symptoms although I have never been officially diagnosed. POTS falls under the umbrella of Dysautonomia and is also common in folks with CFS.

Interestingly, here is a portion of a past message to me from my sleep doctor regarding the condition:

“UARS is not a specific diagnosis - the pattern may be asymptomatic, symptomatic with straightforward sleepiness, and is overrepresented in those with fatigue and POTS. There are other etiologies/associations of POTS/CFS.”

I wish you well in your continued search for more answers, too.

Best,
Dave

Jen,

How have I missed this thread? Welcome back! I came back at about the same time as you.
I'm so glad you've started this thread. It's great to learn from others who have similar situations.

Messages stay in the sender's outbox until the recipient opens them.

I remember you from long ago. Perhaps you remember me too.

My daughter has CFS/ME and has been disabled by it for about 12 years. She also suffers with POTS and has OSA. Witnessing the effects of those makes me wonder how she can face each day. So much research needs to be done to find ways to help and better diagnose them.

I lurk around here, and seldom post. Glad to see you and wish you well.

And you! We've all been watching Pensylvania like mad of course this/last week... can't imagine what it's like to live there now!

Well I'm pretty much a hermit and I rarely leave the house even when there isn't a pandemic. So I don't know how my fellow Pennsylvanians were coping with the suspense. But as for me and my partner, we were on tenterhooks, just waiting to see what the final count would be.

Some DIY'ers have, *coincidentally*, knitted hose covers.
Just a really long skinny sock, with an open toe.
Just saying . . .

Heh heh. Yeah I'm sure there are tons of ways one could DIY something cozy without needing to know how to knit or sew. :)
