but once you get the proper doctor and machine, stick with the forum and we'll see you through better than most doctors will.
Should I use it for a bit, adjusting the pressure manually (I doubt very seriously that 12ipap/8epap/10bpm is going to be perfect) to get some immediate relief and a better idea of how my apnea is responding/starting data before advocating for a different direction / doing something out of pocket?
absolutely. get the oscar software. there is a download link in my sig. with this software, you will be able to monitor your sleep and post graphs here for the experts to see. they can then make all kinds of helpful advice.

good luck!

This is the second night, first night I didn't have an SD card in. I woke up feeling great. I included the OSCAR report formatted best I could to the wiki instructions (flow limit graph isn't available) for any suggestions.

These numbers are not great i would think more pressure support (higher ipap) will be required but an ST is a fairly blunt hammer

As blunt as a brick wall, I hate 'em.

Yeah, I'm still looking for a new doctor, but I have a machine and it seems to be working. Last night the AHI was down to 2.8, I meant to increase IPAP to 13 but I was half awake and I only added .4, but it was enough that I didn't wake up at all last night, except once for a few seconds to roll over.

waking up to roll over(or rolling over and waking up) is normal.

we wake often during the night, but if you just go back to sleep, it's no big deal.

Looks like you had a calmer night of sleep, as your average respiratory rate was lower which makes your minute ventilation more normal. Could just be because we sleep different each night, not necessarily that increasing the IPAP by .4 cmH2o makes any difference. Try those settings for a few night and see what happens.
