Thanks For the info. The only thing stopping me from trying either F30 is whether I’d be trading sore bridge for sore lower nose(just pressure, no redness) which I had with DW nasal, but I won’t know until I try. The dreamware did leave marks down the side of my face but not sores from being on side.

I guess there is always the return insurance which I’ve not used before. I have a couple I kept just in case, but might get expensive to keep all of them that don’t quite work. :D

The F30 does not need to be really cranked down on the tightness in fact if you do, it very well may cause a leak, so in that respect, i don't expect you to get a sore septum from it. The straps should be slightly slack, for when the mask inflates, it tightens up just enough to seal.

I do get strap marks on my face but i really don't care so i don't even think about that in review.

It seems to me like, over time if you pay attention, it kinda telegraphs to you about how it should be adjusted for optimal tightness.
Yay :D For no more diaphragm cramps and dozing off while driving!

Maybe this is a dumb question, but for the sizing guide on this do only need to size for width of nose or depth as well?

Width of nose only. It's a crap shoot for depth.
Most people unless they have some really big noses won't have a problem in terms of depth with any of the masks that only measures width.

Oops, meant to say for F30i. It's sizing guide is different and the depth varied so wasn't sure.

Back to back nights: N20 then switch to F20. I think it's pretty safe to say my mouth was hanging open. Most of January looks like the first chart.

BUTTTT even tho the F30i fits better my AHI is back up to 45!!! Wake up with mouth open which is weird I cant figure out why tho ...the 2 masks are so similar and the f30i fits better but not working like the f30 ...ANYONE know what it could be???

Rather than adding to a thread that has been unused for almost 3 years, I suggest you start your own therapy thread to make it easier to track responses. Maybe Pugsy can move this later.

I use the F30 and have tried the F30i, and found that there is a fine line between too tight and not tight enough for both. To me there are some big differences between the masks as the F30i's main support is at top with some support from the back, and the F30s main support is at the back with some support from the top. I fit the masks snugly, but not too snug, then when the pressure starts I pull them away slightly to let the cushions inflate to get a good fit.

When you do start your own thread it will help those that understand OSCAR to see some graphs. Here is a link to explain things much better than I could.

I got the F30i just because of the connection on top that I liked from The Dreamwear. Well, I'd rather have the tighening strap because the F30i wouldn't seal to my face very well. I do really enjoy the top of the head connection I think it's great with the holder. But I use dreamports now and don't want to go back to masks. It's like starting all over again, no thanks.

I could not get used to the hose on top with the F30i, plus hearing the air whooshing through the tubes near my ears drove me bonkers. The F30 has worked well, but it is an adjustment compared to the P10.

Very glad the Dreamports work well for you. I’ve tried them a few times but the connection from the nose piece to the hose frustrated me, so they sit alone in my CPAP basket waiting for another attempt. Maybe when the Eclipse comes out I’ll try again.

Eclipse will be here in a few weeks. I pre ordered mine. Fantastic company and Stuart is a great guy. It's nice to see a startup like that compared to these big brand names that continuously make one minor change and then charge you $140.00 and say it's the new mask you need. Like the new iPhone 14. Let's change the number and make it just a little bit better. When Stuart listened to what every CPAP user does not like, something strapped to their head that jams into a pillow and moves around at night causing leaks. The connector isn't great, but it works. I would like to see the hose come out on top like the Dreamports. That is my dream mask, the dreamports with a top hose attachment. I don't like how it comes out of your nose and puts all that heavy weight pressure there, but again it's not terrible. Easier to deal with than a mask.
