Only SoClean ozone - Resmed ozone is good for your xPAP.
Since there is no "Resmed ozone", I have no idea what you're blabbering about.

I'm not sure that ironic humor is appropriate in a CPAP forum. Just sayin'.

I am relying on you CPAP veterans out there to help me w this. As I write this I found out the SoClean is bad for my ResMed10 and will void the warranty, so I called for a return label. Having only used it once last night. So, let me tell you my story. I got my unit over a year ago and try as I might I couldn't tolerate it for more than two hours. I put it away. My apnea and snoring stayed bad, waking up alot, throat irritated and ears ringing every morning. Last week I had hip replacement surgery and this forced me back into our shared bedroom. My wife and I had slept in different rooms because of my snoring. She wanted to be able to help me during the night and in fact I needed it. Determined, I broke out the machine again and like a miracle It stayed on 8 hours, this continued for 3 nights and I finally began experiencing the benefits of it. All my issues cleared up. Wife reported no noise at all. I figured I was home free. So now that I was going to be using my CPAP everyday I figured it was time to invest in a SoClean ( I had no idea). I assembled it yesterday and did a test cleaning. When I donned my mask last night to sleep something was different. It seemed like the air pressure was higher, and I once again took off the mask after only an hour. I am completely sick over this. I don't know what happened but it appears something changed. I am sending this thing back today and I am sorry I bought it. But, I am not sure if I put my ResMed back together if it will be the same. Not sure what happened. I am going to call Resmed today also but I hope they don't void my warranty. Advice?

This is an old thread about SoClean with pages of discussion. Please start a new thread to get personalized attention targeted to your machine pressure issue.
BTW, I doubt using SoClean one night caused a change in machine pressure. There is probably something else going on, and members can help you unravel it in your new thread.
Welcome to the forum!

You took a long hiatus from your cpap; and only returned when you needed to be near help.
Too bad.
You put yourself back into a new user situation--stuff changes (or seems to) until you are used to it again.
Do you intend to go back off the cpap later on?
You need to address your own resistance to this life-saving therapy.
Accept the fact that this is life-long---unless you prefer a shorter lifespan.
I assume you like breathing; so knuckle down and make yourself use it until it feels normal.

I agree with Granny...I don't see any way that the So Clean. distorted the machine's pressures. ResMed indicated that prolonged use of the So Clean could deteriorate the foam insulation and possibly the seals. the FDA has deemed Ozone unsafe...

I would re-evaluate all the connections once you removed the SoClean stuff and see if everything is plugged in solidly.
Just using the SoClean should affect the pressure delivery or how it feels unless something isn't solidly connected. Sounds like maybe there is a leak somewhere and the machine is generating more air flow to try to get up to the desired pressure but it can't because of a leak.

I came here looking to see if others had their lid latch break on their Soclean only to discover that ozone is bad for my CPAP. FML
