That is not how you heat them?

I think I killed my previous ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet using an Ozone Cleaner similar to the SoClean.
It developed the noisy pump symptoms (as mentioned by the ResMed warning) after just 9 months, having been "sanitized" weekly using a small Ozone cleaner by ResComf.
Luckily my CPAP machine was replaced for a new one free of charge by the good old NHS over here in the UK.
I have now binned the Ozone Cleaner obviously

( I still think that the ozone was killing any bacteria etc in the hose and machine as it is advertised to do, and is safe for the user, as any residual ozone disappears within minutes, well before using the machine again. However, the fact that it destroys your CPAP machine at the same time is a pretty good reason to not use it ).

For those without a blowtorch and an asbestos-based soft-bristled cleaning brush, I guess so. Just be sure to keep any running SoClean at least four feet away during blowtorch use if it is still under warranty. The blowtorch, I mean. SoClean can damage blowtorches.

In case you can't read........Ozone is BAD for the machines because it DAMAGES them!

Only SoClean ozone - Resmed ozone is good for your xPAP.

It's a technique I got from an appliance repair person, when they were out replacing the door seal in my new freezer... the new seal was shipped folded up in a little box, and wouldn't fit at all. We tossed it into the dryer for a couple minutes, and it was soft and pliable, and all the kinks were gone.

So, I tried it on one of those horrible stiff new cpap hoses, gave it about a minute, and it was still full of kinks another 30 seconds and it had softened up. it happens fast, so keep eye on it.

I'm pretty sure I remember somebody doing it on a heated hose, I think they wrapped a washcloth around the ends to protect them.

You *think* it did something, but have zero evidence of that, you think it's safe, but have no evidence of that either.

My opinion is to use it on disposals if you are worried about germs. Don't use it on the PAP's at all. I have a Respironics Dreamstation blower chamber the customer used ozone every day on, it turned the foam to a sticky tar like substance. Much like the person ordering a 1/4 pounder with cheese & a diet coke, there are customers who buy the ozone cleaners and bring their PAP's in because the filters are so dirty it effects the machines. Worried about germs in the actual PAP, keep the filters clean and keep water from back flushing into the machine.
