Is ResMed discontinuing the N30i mask, replacing this mask with a N30?
I seriously doubt it since they now have the P30i in their inventory.
Just two different masks with a very similar name.

I have a habit of buying new masks when they come out. Well over 14 now. But this one I will pass on for now. I would consider it as a replacement for the P10 I keep in my travel cpap case. But the only advantage I see is the adjustable headgear. Like Pugsy mentioned, I might just buy a headstrap and see about fitting that to the P10!

Once you get used to a top mount hose, it is really hard to put up with a front mount hose. Not having to deal with the hose at all the whole night is at least 2-4 less wake ups for me. Good sleep is what this is all about!
I have the opposite. I constantly have to move the top mounted hoses. I did not have to do so with front mounted hoses.

Has anyone tried this mask yet?
I received one yesterday, and tried it last night.

Looking for an alternative/backup to the Bleep, which is my main mask, and haven't yet found one I'm happy with.

It's really comfortable and quiet, but I didn't sleep that well. Not surprisingly, the cushion isn't (or at least doesn't feel) as stable as, say, the Dreamwear; I think that's probably what distracted me. But my leak rate was fine; even good.

Only one night though.
How stiff is the cradle? The stiffness of the N30i is a negative, why I still prefer the Dreamwear. I am a side sleeper and am interested in how well it does for side sleepers.

It's much like the Dreamwear in feel; so not stiff at all.

I alternate between sleeping on my back and on my side, and am happy with the N30. I much prefer the cushion to the N30i, and the headgear to both the N30i and the Dreamwear.

I think I will probably keep it as my Bleep backup, though may give it another night or two to confirm.

Just ordered this one...been out of the loop for a while *smile*, cruising along with the Swift FX. Hoping that it will be better for my asymmetrical nostrils than the P10, it could be. Also the quieter venting would be very welcome.

Anyways, looking forward to giving it a try. So tired of the Swift FX venting, about the only mask that I can make work at the moment. Hope hope hope *smile*.

Does anyone know where this could be purchased without a prescription? I am self-treating and think this just may be the mask for me.

Might still be too new to find these in the "secondary" markets where they don't give a crap about a prescription!

I got this mask at Lofta.com with no prescription, they are great, good customer service, quick shipping, I’ve used them a few times now. I don’t know if they have it at Walmart yet, where I got my machine with no prescription. I’m a side sleeper, and have been using this mask. It’s more comfortable for me than others I have tried. The nose “cradle” is real soft. The only problem I had was the headgear being too tight, but I got it just right eventually lol  . I have the n30i, and it bruised my cheek bones, hated it! This new mask is so minimal that it works good for me. The hose piece in front is really flexible and light, which makes it comfy too. I push it up right on my nose, cuz when it rests on the upper part of my mouth I tense up, I’m weird I know. Good luck out there all!

Like you I have been wearing the Swift FX for years, eight for me. Because of the asymmetrical nostrils, I have switched off with the Nano, only to have the morning nasal dent. So this nasal cradle ask has been the answer to my dreams. I purchased several off my insurance, just to assure that I would select this to be my mask. Initially I thought the top hose mount would be difficult to adjust to, but now I prefer having the hose hygienically out of the way. Let us know your experience.

Sounds like you're talking about the n30i; not the n30.

I blame Resmed for absolutely terrible product naming/marketing, but we need to keep this thread focused on the n30; which is NOT a top mount.

There seems to be a pattern here.
Does anyone suspect that confusion is profitable?

Don't think that we're talking about the same mask, no top mount on the N30, but I have to say that I'm very disappointed. I got the mask fitted so that it was comfortable and have played with the fitting quite a bit, no leaks around the mask, but it's much noisier than I expected. It's supposed to be around the noise level of the P10, maybe a little less, but it isn't. If I press on one spot on the bottom of the mask with my thumb, that quiets it down to the level that I expected, but short of gluing my thumb to the mask *smile*, I don't see this one working out for me. I think that this is a defective mask, and/or a manufacturing defect, so I may try to exchange it before giving up. So lightweight, so comfortable, yet so loud...something wrong there. A lot of potential seemingly wasted.

I will say that I do see inconsistent reviews for this mask. Some say very quiet, some say not quiet. I'm thinking that maybe they had a bad manufacturing run, but ResMed usually is very consistent in their manufacturing, and have good quality. So not quite sure what to make of this. At any rate, as I said, very disappointing. My Swift FX is much quieter than the AirFit N30, which tells me that something's wrong here.

I would look into the exchange.

I'm in the "it's pretty quiet" camp, and haven't experienced what you have.

Yes, well I think I may have fixed it...a little embarrassing after 8 years of CPAP, but I took the cradle thing off and put it back on. Then I compared the noise from the P10 with the N30, and very comparable now. Thought I had done that before, but apparently not. So I'll give it a try tonight, again. Anxious to have a good experience with it, love the weight, the fit, and the venting is much more diffuse than the Swift FX. The fact that the headgear is actually adjustable is great, too...maybe they can add that to the P10, they found a clever way to allow adjustment on the P10-style headgear.

The only other thing is that I might do better with a small size, I was right on the borderline between small and medium. Time will tell, though.

You have a P10??? If so...Can you check to see if the N30 headgear will even fit on the P10 frame? They look very similar. I was wondering if they could be swapped out.
