Not going there. You call it what you want and I will do the same as they have at every healthcare institution I have worked for over the past 20 years.

They reference the acronym spelled out word for word. Are you going to argue because they dont write bipap. Its not?
So, it's a BPAPD... "Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure Device"
I'll be happy to agree with you on terminology if you can show me where it says "BiPAP" anywhere on your machine (that's not scribbled on in marker)
But, whatever, Pugsy told me to drop it, so I'm droppin it.

The medical industry seems to have adopted it as a generic term for all bilevel pressure machines. Doesn't make it accurate though.
Because so many of them don't care to have knowledgeable patients.

Another sore point with me in regards to our illustrious "we walk on water" medical system.
Nothing I can do to change them so I won't even try.
We deal with the hand we are dealt and it's a far from perfect system. To quote what someone I know says very often.
What's amazing is that they get it right sometimes.

I guess we should count our blessings.
I am still puking because another person with complex sleep apnea brought on by cpap pressures gets the ST machine and is having problems. Sigh. Big surprise there. If the chipmunk cheeks are related to the higher pressures then ASV would have most likely reduced overall fixed higher pressures and maybe avoided that annoyance.
Sure wish these yahoos that walk on water would make it out of the dark ages.
Oh well...there's that hand we are dealt thing again.
