What exactly are you trying to do? Just be able to turn on oxygen concentrator first without CPAP turned on?

First question is what happens when you turn it on with valve closed? Does the oxygen concentrator have a automatic pressure release valve or would you need something like this that they sell for fish tanks https://www.kensfish.com/cgi-kensfish/s ... fd224662db . You could have one valve open to the room when you turn on concentrator then close it when you open the valve going to CPAP.

The O2 pump will sense the lack of flow, vent the excess pressure, and turn on a Error Alarm! That's what mine did when the line got smashed inder a rocking chair. Jim

Thanks! So he would have to use something like I posted in first link. When I used supplemental oxygen temporarily I bought the soclean adapter for my dreamstation that attached to the humidifier. I then hooked up the oxygen line to that and it out the O2 straight into my water in humidifier. Only downside I had was water evaporated faster. I also put concentrator right next to bed so I could reach over and turn it on.

I don't expect a couple of minutes to make much of a difference, but someone mentioned two hours. He must work for Public Service., way too long, needs to think better. Jim

Oxygen "concentrators" would be more accurately termed "nitrogen filters", because that's what they do, they filter out nitrogen.

Good working ones, 95%, close enough to start fires. Also O2 reduces the temp for combustion, sparks or open flame aren't needed to start fire. Jim

The O2 comes from the room and runs thru the hose,Duh! Then it is released from the hose and gets back into the room air to complete the circuit.

Now I know more about oxygen supplementation than I hope to never need to use.

Never played with it, at 14 doctors used it to freeze warts off me, feels hot when using it, 30 minutes later you feel like you are in Hell! Fire and Brimstone! Mainly I used it at work to shrink Large wheel bearing outer races, (20 inch in dia) Took about 2 gal of liquid
nitrogen, in a pan, when cooled down, I would set the bearing race in the drum, you could seat and spin it for a minute, as it warmed up it expanded back to the original size, locking it in place. Instead of beating it in with sledge hammers for 2 hours, took 30 minutes.It used to take 4 or 5 hours to remove them, until we found a way to arc weld the inside of the race to shrink them.

Temp change can be your friend, but only if you follow safe work rules. Big Iron, Big Hurt! Jim

Most things get really brittle in liquid nitrogen.

We used hydraulic line fittings that were stored in liquid nitrogen. Once they returned to room temperature, they would shrink and clamp on to the lines to make high pressure connections. Very strange metal. It actually became pliable at extremely low temperature and became stiff at room temp.

We made up out lines also mostly 5,000 lb psi, No-skive and crimped up to 3 inch, For CAT, OEM CAt Only, You have to keep your CATs Happy.

I never heard of what you used, strange. I retired in 2005, maybe it's newer. Jim

I worked aerospace. Our lines carried 4000 psi.
